Looks like the 'render' sites just got more dedicated business from me. I do not shop at Daz anymore especially since the v6 nonsense. I'm not a fan of monopolies at all so I really do hope this site doesn't allow itself to be bought up as well.

Thread: Morphs on POSED figure | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes the original cr2 I morphed on is blank and stripped of proprietary morphs. "Just create a .pmd inj... Nerd has a tutorial on his site." I saw a lot of people referencing this but the links I can find for his tutorials are all broken. "Create Full Body morph not working? Also you know with a little copy and pasting in a text editor you could place that controller dial in the figure's pinky if you wanted?" I'm aware of the possibility, however finding a tutorial or information on exactly how to do that isn't as forthcoming. I opened up another INJ that has morphs on the body to see if I could just determine the differences - I compared the two. The confusion I ran into was channel names. In fact entire structure. I've managed to get the group name to stay in the final .pz2 but still no morph dial on the body.

It looks like I'm still stuck. I did get the dial there on the body. But that alone I can do just via the poser figure menu. I need to save this body dial and morph data in an .inj file. Any advice on that?

Ever wonder how valueParm/valueOpDeltaAdd controllers and jcm were created before PML and GoZ? ;)

I'm doing morphs from posed figures from Poser via ZBrush all the time. Which version of Poser are you using, by the way?
I use the "Export Figure Mesh to GoZ" entry from the Figure menu, not from the Object menu. In the window which opens, I check the "Export Posed" checkbox. I get the figure in ZBrush and morph it as I like. Then I simply push the "GoZ"-Button in ZBrush and go back to Poser. Poser will ask me for a name for the Full Body Morph I just created with ZBrush.
I can even export multiple figures from Poser, and morph them in the same ZBrush session as different subtools. When I send them back to Poser the morph will still end up in the correct figure.
To create a full body morph, you can use the "Morph" utilities which come with Wardrobe Wizard. Activate Wardrobe Wizard from the Python Scripts menu, then open the Python buttons. Choose "Utilities" then "Morph" and then "Dials to single Morph" to create a single body morph from the actual state of the figure.
Did that help?
Oooh, I will be checking first thing today to see if it will!!! Thank you. Adding PML into the pipeline yesterday was life changing LOL. With all the 'this utility for this' and 'that utility for that' I tend to lose track of which features each has if I go a while in between using them. Up til now I've never really found what I felt to be an efficient pipeline. Efficient enough to make morph distribution a viable endeavor anyway. Thanks so much for the tip about WW!!

You want to morph a posed figure. I know three solutions to this problem.
- You may use the Morph Brush, if your Poser version includes it. Depending on your Poser version, the Morph Brush can do a lot. It will save a morph which you can rename and save with your figure.
- If you have a Pro version of Poser, you may use ZBrush with GoZ, like RorrKonn suggested. Not really a cheap solution if you don't have a ZBrush licence, though. But by far the most capable solution, creating even complicated morphs is easier in ZBrush (at least for me) than in any other application.
- There used to be a set of Python scripts which can do what you want, but as far as I know they are no longer for sale. You will have to contact the author for the plugin. The Software you want is the Poser Morph Loader by Colorcurvature. You can find his contact data at his website: http://cgscripts.colorcurvature.com/ With PML it's possible to use nearly every modeler on the market.
Bantha, Thank you for your suggestions. I actually do own the PML by colorcurvature, he was kind enough to get it to me some months back. I have actually moved a little further along in my endeavors. I'm using Zbrush but from the start I've had issues saving morphs that I transfer back in via goz. I can export .obj of a figure morphed from tpose and have that work, but having it work on a posed figure using GOZ has failed constantly for me. It's very possible that I'm doing something wrong.
In any regard I've managed to save the .cr2 after importing the morph with goz and also managed to extract the morph data into pz2 from that. My last obstacle seems to be creating a Body dial for that .pz2. I've spent the better part of today googling and trying to see what utilities I may have that would create a Body dial for a .pz2
Do you happen to know if PML is capable of doing that? Or of any utility that will?

Hi @jjroland - Let me move this to the Poser forum so more poser folks came jump in and help you. Thanks for asking!
Thank you.

Thread: Enough with the Prime | Forum: Community Center
I stop into these forums now once every few months or so. Just noticed this thread and I want to add that I too agree with EVERYTHING that has been said here. This site is going the way of many businesses, whoever it is making the bad decisions is just going to ride their bad idea directly into the ground.
I used to be very active here. Hell I would check in 2-3 times a day at least. Galleries, community, innovation, great prices and more - this site had it all.
Slowly it dwindled with excessive moderation. In fact I'm surprised this thread is still open. I'm sure many like me didn't appreciate not being able to express a valid complaint without it being shut down, locked and deleted. Me personally I figured I'd stop sharing all together.
The store now, I can't find a damn thing. I get in a poor mood immediately if I have to come here to purchase something because I know I will have to wade through pages of irrelevant results to find what I'm looking for. Also that Prime nonsense which I too will NEVER buy. Yet it is constantly being stuffed in my throat. Then you have product redundancy. Scripts to change material nodes and sell the same product over and over again. Ugh.
You'd think after all this time Renderosity would have it's own figure. How many great modelers came through the forums creating independent figures, figures with TONS of potential. Other companies were eager to get on this and many of the old names have been now hired by software companies or are even working with Smith Micro. With all the free money Rendo has gotten off vendor work (yeah I still think 50% is highway robbery even if it is the standard) you'd think they would have been able to invest something in continued viability and got behind a real versatile figure. So we aren't all stuck going to Daz because Poser figures just aren't keeping up.
Over all I'm very disappointed with the course things have taken. I've been giving this feedback for 9 years though. Nobody has listened yet and I don't imagine anyone will any time soon. There is still time and opportunity to change but I'm not holding my breath.

thank you, but do you know if it is possible to create morphs from posed figures in that?

Definitely have tried to rotate 2d images MANY times.
Constantly pondering my own body movements. A twist, a side to side, a bend... Hmm I wonder how many degrees that is....Ahhhh my wrist does not twist..

Quote - My condolences. I didn't know her, but I've suffered loss in my life recently, and I know too well how this feels. But I lost a parent. We shouldn't have to outlive our children.
Me as well. My mother this last Christmas, and father in law in May. I've watched my poor Grandmother go through this and my Mother was in her fifties.
I measure every grief I meet I measure every grief I meet
With analytic eyes;
I wonder if it weighs like mine,
Or has an easier size.
I wonder if they bore it long,
Or did it just begin?
I could not tell the date of mine,
It feels so old a pain.
I wonder if it hurts to live,
And if they have to try,
And whether, could they choose between,
They would not rather die.
I wonder if when years have piled—
Some thousands—on the cause
Of early hurt, if such a lapse
Could give them any pause;
Or would they go on aching still
Through centuries above,
Enlightened to a larger pain
By contrast with the love.
The grieved are many, I am told;
The reason deeper lies,—
Death is but one and comes but once
And only nails the eyes.
There's grief of want, and grief of cold,—
A sort they call 'despair,'
There's banishment from native eyes,
In sight of native air.
And though I may not guess the kind
Correctly yet to me
A piercing comfort it affords
In passing Calvary,
To note the fashions of the cross
Of those that stand alone
Still fascinated to presume
That some are like my own.

She did. I read all the posts on it last night and watched her tribute video. I guess just trying to make some sense of how a tragedy like this can happen. (There's no sense to be made, I know that, but I guess you just look for some kind of understanding.)
I read that she was surrounded by photos and momentos of her baby that she'd lost.
No matter what 'medical' reasons they give, in my heart I feel this young lady died of a broken heart. Too young, too sweet, too innocent to have to deal with the loss of her child.
And now her poor momma is suffering the loss of both.
There are times in life when you just wish you could take a little piece of a persons pain for them. For me, this is one of those times.
I had read her interview she did here on Renderosity, some time ago, or was it her bio? Anyway she had said she had 3 kids. 1 girl and 2 boys. Her daughter was the oldest, and then her middle child has Autism. She discussed how she moved along with her art and decided to start doing it full time working from home.
I guess I just related immediately. My children are the same. I have 3, 1 daughter 2 sons, the oldest is the girl and my middle child has Aspergers. I was immensely inspired by her. She is so talented and she gave me that nudge to work harder, try more. I became a huge fan.
Now learning what she is going through, I just have no words. I can't imagine.

Yes this was the mother of the baby. This family has had to suffer through so much in just a short period of time. It's unimaginable.
