Thread: How is Poser these days? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As it turns out, copying morphs from the figure to a clothing figure causes Poser 12 to crash almost every time for me. It also has frozen up during Firefly renders if the settings are for high quality renders. I have a brand-new Dell XPS with 64 GB of RAM. The only other thing I can think of is that the problem lies with Windows 11, which from my experience so far has a ton of bugs. The most infuriating of which is the crazy results you get from using File Manager to unzip, cut, paste, move files if you are moving a great number of files around at once, as is often necessary when creating Poser Runtimes. When I do manage to get the morphs copied over to the clothing figure from La Femme, the mesh usually breaks up and forms cracks at all of the joints. It's a mess. I figure it must be user error because I see a lot of images on this site that people have posted using the same figures and clothing I am trying to use, it apparently works for everyone else.Hydra, i think you have to use copy morphs and paste them onto the clothing.
P12 is very stable for me. Are the crashes random? Or more specific?

Thread: How is Poser these days? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have been using Poser since I bought Poser 3.0 off the shelf of a best buy in the mid 90's. Poser 12 seems to be the most unstable version of Poser ever released. Are there any plans/progress for producing updates that fixes all the problems that cause it to crash constantly?
Also, I have had no luck with getting tight fitting clothing to work with La Femme and the various La Femme character packages available from rosity. So I am still using V4 for the most part. Any suggestions on how to get clothing to fit La Femme in Poser 12?

Thread: Problems getting Poser 12 and La Femme products to work | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Crossdresser causes all V4 clothing converted to La Femme to be translated below the character when it is conformed to La Femme, and I don't know how to correct that issue. I've tried all the kung-fu I know from my experience using Poser since buying a copy of Poser 3.0 off the shelf at a Best buy in 1994. I have not had good results with that Crossdresser 4.0 or it's Morph creating companion software. To be more specific with the problems I am having in Poser 12, one example is Tempesta 3d's Dorotea figure, go ahead and try to get any tight-fitting clothing for La Femme to fit her and you should be able to see what I am talking about. But the problem is certainly not just with Tempesta 3d's characters, I have the same problem with EVERY character I have purchased for La Femme. Like I said, the problem is probably at my end, I just have not figured out how to make them work. I must be missing some information on how Poser 12 and La Femme stuff works. So far, I have spent many hours in trial and error trying to set up each figure and I have not had much luck. I have purchased 29 characters for La Femme so far in the past two weeks, I have had very little success in getting them dressed. Again, I am specifically referring to tight clothing. A colorful potato sack is easy to fit to any character. Thanks!

Thread: Where can I get TY2? | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
I read somewhere that she is owned by efrontier, but I have not had any luck locating her on smith micro (content paradise is gone) and the efrontier website, or company no longer seems to exist. I find it hard to believe she is not for sale somewhere! Maybe renderosity should look into purchasing the rights to sell her.

Thread: how do you create/modify clothing textures for G8? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Thanks. In Daz studio the content library calls it OTS Swimsuit. The actual product is H&C One Piece Training Swimsuit for Genesis 8 Female(s) which can be found at the daz store. I looked for a textures folder but all I show in the Mydazlibrary folder is a data folder that doesn't seem to contain anything relevant. Thanks again. :)

Thread: Problem with Poser library in Poser Pro 2014... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks. First thing I did was disable the firewall, then did all the other king fu I know, then searched the rosity forums, then posted my questions, and finally, used the last resort and contacted smith micro tech support. It must be those pesky permissions which I never really fully understood, or something. In any case, thanks!

Thread: Problem with Poser library in Poser Pro 2014... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
LOL.
Most of the links on the link you linked to are broken links to still more broken links to your still more previous answers that also do not apply, nor answer much of anything so far as I can tell.
"Runtime DNA" no longer exists. (I think Daz bought them or something) So the links to answers to previous answers answered on their answers, are not going to appear anymore. They are broken links.
But in sifting through all the crap your link linked to, (as one hopes to avoid having to do when one has searched and sifted and finally resigns to creating a new thread to ask their question) I gotta ask, have you bothered to examine YOUR responses (and behavior) on all these threads you just linked to?
Feel free to bypass responding to my posts.

Here is the error message I get. is there a way to fix this? I've tried setting preferences to internal and external loading of the pallette, but it is not making any difference.

Thread: Materials question | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Thanks folks! I do appreciate the help. The manual for EZ mat is 46 pages long in pdf format, and written by someone who does not speak English as their native language, which also ads to the difficulty in deciphering complicated instructions. I have a full time job, and in my spare time, and that is limited, I like creating Poser animations. THAT is extremely time consuming too. It is kind of like being hooked on a MMORPG like WOW or something. I just do not have the time to learn to do this while pouring over a 46 page manual. I want to buy it, download it, install it, read the text readme file, and use it. All I want to do, is ad spots to the specular node, and gloss to reflection node of any skin texture, and cover all skin parts from any given texture map with a double click from a library icon. Nobody can or has produced something that does this which does not require more than a simple 5 paragraph readme .txt??? I would not think it would be that difficult for a python programmer to come up with a utility that can do this. But, I have no idea how to do any programming at all, so maybe not. But if anybody is considering building a utility to sell, this is needed. Just keep it simple!

Thread: Materials question | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Okay, thanks anyway guys. I am not interested in spending the next four years learning an online self taught degree in shader manipulations and python scripting to do this. If I cannot learn it and implement it in 10 minutes, it is useless to me.

Need to be able to edit these posts. *poser, not pose characters. Also, I have to do these dozen adjustments to EACH BODY PART! That is why it is so time consuming, a royal pain in the butt.

Ironsoul, Thank you so much! You saved my sanity! I somehow missed that thread during my (fantic) search to figure out the problem. Upon reading that thread, I was able to get Poser working again. THANK YOU!
Laurie, thanks for responding, I appreciate it!

Thread: Possible Poser 10/PP2014 Bugs - Post here so they are seen | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I am using Poser Pro 2014. I recently installed a number of Windows 7 updates, but one of them will not install and gives an error code which I cannot find in the Micrsoft Help database. Poser will no longer load my libraries. I researched this problem and found a bunch of threads explaining similar issues with older versions of Poser, not 2014.
Nearest I can figure, it is a problem with Adobe Flash. I uninstalled Adobe flash player, and followed the instructions to delete the files in the flash folder. Now when I start Poser it says it needs adobe flash player and has a link that says Get Adobe Flash Player right in my librarires area. I click the link, I select the installation, it initializes, then the initialize bar disappears completely and nothing happens. Ever. (I gave it 30 minutes to do something). It seems to be stuck on step 2 of 3.
When I try to download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player from my browser, it says I am using Google Chrome, which has flash player built in, therefore it does not allow me to download it.
Can anyone confirm that Adobe flash player is the problem and not some microsoft windows update? Or lack of a Windows Update?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
