..but it doesn't have the designation of Photoshop 8. Adobe released the new version under the name "Creative Suite." It's been out for about a year.

Thread: a transparency question | Forum: Photoshop
Ahhh okay. There are likely several ways to go about this. What comes to mind first is to apply a custom gradient (make it how it will best contol how you need the transparency to be modulated) and apply it to a opacity mask. Then adjust it's opacity level over top of the layer you want to affect.
Thread: a transparency question | Forum: Photoshop
Yes. When you gou look at your layer there will be an opacity setting. Play with it. It ranges form o to 100%, 0 being totally transparant (invisible) to 100% being totally opaque.
Thread: Re PS8 plug-ins | Forum: Photoshop
In your PS CS preferences you can designate where it looks for plug ins.Look for the appropriat section then delve in. Link to where(files) your plugins are kept. Once PS CS "sees" them there will be a link made to your filters and this will be activated the next time you open PS CS. I keep all my plugins in one file so all my programms can be linked to them. So much easier.

Thread: Font Character welding | Forum: Photoshop
Thank you . It's nice to have options. Now I can morph letters into shapes and still utilize various stroke abilities. Is there a way to select a path on a true type font then make adjustments to the font and store for later use? I imagine font programs are more designed for this abiliy but it shouldn't be too difficult for photoshop. Thanks for your help.

Thanks..that's exactly it.. One more question. Can a person apply another stroke to have to vector lines wrapping around the font. I apreciate all your help everyone. Thanks a million.

There may be a market for it yet, either when Bryce finds a new, welcome, home or by thinking outside the box as to who else could benefit with an alliance. Dash101, what was the subject of the film? How long is it? What was the resolution? Do you have short samples available for viewing on a website? I noticed you are from Canada, where abouts? I live near Banff, used to live in Canada when I worked in the media.

Hopefelly a company with a real vision for this software will take it off there hands and promote it with passion. Bryce has too much potential to be shelved. It's amazing Painter 8 was released It's a good thing that Painter is heavily cross promoted by Wacom or it may have been shelved as well. I have never been very impressed with Corel. I'll bet your film would have generated some interest in their product. Oh well.
