@GeneralNutt, Thank you for the compliment! I tried to keep up in 3D occasionally but found myself in too much pain to really concentrate or have much creativity, so it's been mostly practice and tutorials. Recently I had surgery that has greatly reduced the pain, so my interest has been returning. Seems I have some catching up to do with some new figures and possibly new features in Poser. I kept up until the final update to P13 although toward the later versions I didn't, really experiment too much. Hopefully I can get back into it a bit more, I just need to catch up.

Concidering she isn't a Bondware product, and priced at $30.00 a pop, I doubt you'll see that (PS $30 isn;t an unrealistic price point to me!) Also I bought her and tried her once or twice but if you aren;t a fan of JCM and adjustments to get the right look she's probably not for you. An Amazing figure for highly realistic work just a bit too much for the average hobbiest. I do applaud the work erogenesis put into her, she was obviously a labor of love to get the exact figure he was looking for. As I said if none of the current figures fits your preferences MAKE, BUY or hisr someone to MAKE one that does!

Look I haven bitten my tongue here for a long while but I really have to get something off of my chest. I was involved with LaFemme and L'Homme' builds. They were never advertised as the end all and be all of poser much less 3D figures since unimesh was being promised even back then. Tehy were offered as an alterative for the poser edition at that time (NOTE ALTERNATIVE, NOT PERFECT Replacements). L'Homme in particular was to be a MORPH of LaFemme (Sound familiar G9?).Â
Honestly I've NEVER Been particularly attracted to ANY Poser/Daz figure out of the box. How can a generic figure meet most , much less everyones taste? I mean if that were the case why are there so many morphed characters?
As far as bashing ANY figure that ANYONE takes the time and effort to create, for those of you that don;t realize it the mere effort is very great and I for one prise ANYONE willing to take that time and effort to create something that is, from all of my years with Poser and this site, virtually certain to do nothing if not find a massive amount to negativeity and complaining (even if it hasn't come out and NO ONE not involved even knows that is going on)Â
There will NEVER be a figure that is suitable to everyones desires! It can't be done! In the meantime if you think figure creation had it peak with V3/4 god bless you and have fun, If you think DS and the generation figures are the gift of the gods, again have fun. If you can;t find ANYTHING that suits youthen get to work and create your oen figure... or at least a morph of any thing close to make you happy! If that doen;t work for you, hire a team to create your dream models for you! And if that's even too much trouble then I can only suggest you find another hobby.
In the mean time applaud the efforts of those that are willing to put many many hours into working on, refining, testing and refining some more, into something, all but guarenteed to bring about almost nothing but whining and complaining, and NEVER, EVER make enough money to even break even. Just remember Charma is a bitch and what goes around comes around... when you least expect it.
Thread: Finally got LaFemme2.0, and I am liking what I have | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have to say that many people have underestimated La Femme and what can be done with her. Part of that is because there isn't as much content as there is for V4, V8 etc.. Part of the reason for that was when L'Homme was introduced as a morph for La Femme the results of that created a monster to create clothing for, eventually the La Femme and L'Homme figures were separated and that helped with some of the issues. More could have been done to bring some of the newer possibility that P12 contains but it was decided not to persue those. It's a shame that the users haven;t done more experimenting as was done with the V4 and Poser at that time, but with the dangle of unimesh out there there wasn;t really a reason to put in that effort.
Now maybe some of that will come to pass.Â
At any rate La Femme is a very versatile figure and deserves more interest from the power users and content creators than she's really gotten at this point.

Primorge I d/led the pdf thank you. And a big Thank you to everyone that took the time to answer! I remembered the EP could do a number of things but I couldn't remeber the exact approach to them, this will help a lot. Thanks to all again.

Thanks DCArt for the reply.
I actually have the chain control and yes it does do much of the same thing. The difference is Easy Pose Underground creates a DIAL to work the string that can be included in a product. Chain Control, as far as I can find must be installed to the user's poser to work. Great for rendering, but not so much for caontent creation.
Still I really do thank you for takeing the time to look and reply!

How about a "GRAB" tool on the morph brush that works with dynamics as well a standing morphs? Also modifiers would be nice.

Two things I will add to DC's excellent advice. I always assume when transferring weight maps that they or their bulge maps may need to be tweaked afterwards. At the very least I think they can always use some smoothing since no 2 objs have exactly the same mesh. The second is the JCMs, again for the same reason the JCMs may need to be tweaked using the morph tool. Open the morph tool and select the JCM that is affected by you movement and use the brush tools to remove any poke thru you may encounter when you close the morph tool it adds the tweak to the existing morph so when you re-save the project the modified JCM is included and will operate as you modified it.The thing with the broken obj file is a big part of the Tony Vilters videos, he explains it in great detail. I have followed his tutorials to the point, that is the reason why I was so disappointed and clueless as my mesh ended up like this. But you are right, the one thing you learn if you work in 3D is patients. Sounds a bit strange I know, but I use Poser since version 5 and I never had the need to create a clothing item myself. Let's say I thought it can't be so difficult 😂.

actually I've found that they easies way is to go to Files/Exprot and select exprot as full body morph while having save binary morphs selectes and in an empty library pose folder. This brings up a pop up where you can select the morph or morphs to export ( remembr you should only save morphs YOU made this way, do not export other creators morphs except for personal use. Once you save the morph it woll add ageneric thumbnail to the Pose folder named for your moph(s),. This will load the morph into the basicic LaFemme or LaFemme pro.
One other note if you save the Morph when set to 1 it will load in already set. Save when 0 and it will load unexecuted. In either case the morph will be dispalyed in the Body group.

I too would like to see more content for Poser but in the current economy I can understand why people step back. The last 3 things I made for LaFemme and L'Homme almost totally bombed. I'm not sure why either the quality was bad, or overpriced, or something. Never received any feedback so it's hard to tell.
At any rate I'm on a semi-break because of it learning some new software and leisurely working on some projects. I would like to see more stuff but I don't really expect to as with out a real change with some input from buyers as to what they want (REAL input not the usual "I want a 300 hour specificly aimed project for $10.00" and then not even 1 is sold is sold, even to the person that asked for it

Thread: Why is Poser not free? | Forum: Poser 12
To tell the truth. and I know it won;t be popular, but I've proposed this since the first Poser 12 release. The next up grade should be radical, drop everything not current. Yes the face room, firefly and bring the interface into a modern program look for the 21st century not a kid's program. Drop the rooms design and incorporate a realistic way to open the various sub programs into the main screen. Oh and let's not for get to strip out everything BUT weight mapping.
For those that don;t like the idea well sorry this IS the 21st century and it's time to move on. just losing the "weight" of all that code should significantly speed up Poser and rendering.
Thread: How is Poser these days? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Alas you are only partially in luck with poser. As of version 12 you CAN still use the older figure (v4 etc.) but you are wasting a lot of functionality (some wil disagree with me here) since they are using figure without weight mapping at least if you want to use clothing etc form the same era.
Poser comes with LaFemme as it;s flagship figure these days. She is weight mapped and includes SOME later technology. Older content can be used for her if you use the fitting room and the set up room to convert the rigging. It's not easy but it's there. Some people seem perfectly happy using the older figures and content.Â
There is a male figure L'Homme I don;t think he has a free version sold with Poser? Since he's built off of modified LaFemme rigging her has most of her tech.
There is a major amount of content for either of them yet but it is growing pretty much every day, and there as some very gifted content makers worhing hard to provide more.
Don;t know if this helps. If it does great!
Have a great day
Thread: Why is Poser not free? | Forum: Poser 12
First V4 is so old I'm actually ashamed that poser stile bothers to support her.
Second if you already have a version of Poser than it IS free, just don't bother upgrading to any newer versions.
Third if you are so sure that the that the other programs you mentioned as being "free" are so much better then why are you still trying to work in Poser? AND complaining about it when you can just change programs?
And Finally if you are so disappointed by Renderosity as a whole, why are you even still here?
Have a great Day
