Thanks everyone for your responses; I'll try the codecs Little_Dragon pointed out, and worse case, accept the "standard" that I've been hearing.

Thread: Here's one...why don't more artists create stereoscopic images? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's interesting the comments on having trouble with "crossing eyes" when viewing my stereo renders. I've never had a problem doing so, and just assumed others could do it as well. I view mine very easily at full size (although I don't do it for many minutes because I do feel the strain).
Jim Burton, when I cross my eyes on your image above, the depth perception is reversed; that is, the cannon is closer. The images are arranged to be viewed in a parallel fashion (the "parallel" approach). The images are reversed from how I present mine (the "cross-eye" approach). I've read that to see the parallel type requires de-focusing until the images join in the middle or the use of a stereoscope (3D Viewmaster, anyone?)...while mine requires crossing the eyes. I've never been able to see the "parallel" type properly.
I do not enjoy anaglyphs much at all; I can see so much clearer using the "cross eye" format that anaglyphs seem a very poor second.
Thread: Holes in my figure on Render? Er, help? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had similar problems (but typically with background props) when I have "Smooth polygons" on. If other attempts don't resolve the problem, try rendering with that off.

I'll throw in my support. Above is a pic from Daz3D (I hope they don't sue me) showing the MilGirl Pre-teen Blacker Magic outfit. The URL below the pic takes you to a render of a morphed version of TheGirl character wearing the same outfit after some treatment with Wardrobe Wizard.
Now, I admit that I did do some final clean up with magnets; PhilC & Co admit that the program doesn't handle gloves, shoes, and other items as well is it does body clothes. The jacket area around the hands, and the boots, I had to tweak. But had I tried to do this all by magnets, I would have spent hours and hours. I did the above conversion in about 30 minutes on 4 items of clothing.
Yeah, it's worth the $60 bucks!
Thread: P6 SR1 updater is available now | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yep, I had to re-register as well; weird. At least it let me do it. Now to go see if I can render all those PZ3's I've been creating that wouldn't render before....
Thread: MORE OT HUMOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Men this is for you :) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You know, this is the sort of thread I never answer, because I know most people could care less what my opinion is on these sorts of subjects. But Mizrael's comment above tickled a memory... I'm a straight male who's had many years of relationships with a number of women. The personalities and expectations of woman vary per individual much more than men, and the stereotypes of women are not nearly as applicable as the men's tend to be. Which makes them less predictable and (by some people's view) more interesting. I've also had close relationships with a few women who, after the initial rush of hormone-fueled infatuation wore off, showed themselves to be the classic female steroetype as described in above threads. Emotion ruled, opinions and expectations changed on a daily basis, manipulation was the primary tool used to achieve goals, etc. There have been a number of times where I've thought that being gay has got to be less painful (per Mizrael's comment above). But after much thought, the reality is that relationships can be painful. Whether it's male-to-female, male-to-male, female-to-male, or female-to-female, the core of any relationship is that it happens between people who are human, and thus flawed and foolish (sometimes, at least). And the alternative (avoiding relationships) is so infeasible to an emotionally healthy person that it isn't an alternative either. So my mindset, developed over very many years (not saying how many), is that you have to have relationships, with both males and females (regardless of sexual orientation), and you have to recognize that maintaining those relationships requires lots of flexibility and forgiveness. Whether it's a friend or a lover, you and they are going to irritate each other eventually, and then you recognize it, apologize, and move on. Emotions (and men have them too!) make humans illogical and irrational. That's the way our world works. You've got to learn to live with it, or live in a world even more painful than the one that has relationships. IMHO
Thread: P5 Vs. P6 Reflections | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
One thing that I seem to have to do in P6 to ensure that transmaps are completely transparent where they are supposed to be (such as the eyebrow trans when it isn't being used) is to turn the diffuse and specular colors to black, and set the values to 0. Also make sure the transparency falloff is 0 as well.

Although I am fairly comfortable with the Unimesh figures & the INJ tech, this was still enlightening; thanks for taking the time!

Tell you what, Lemurtek...you release it as conforming clothing with a reasonable mapping, and I'll give you some textures... :-)

I've covered a (human) body in fur in Poser 5 to see what it would look like. One example is in my gallery (see link). It is very time consuming, both to apply & groom, and to render.I've read that using displacement settings can achieve similar results in much less effort and rendering time.

I realize that you're looking for freestuff, but there are a number of Judy characters for sale in the Renderosity Marketplace (2 of them mine). You might want to look at those.

Well, not working isn't quite accurate. With the release of SR3, Poser 5 does apply dynamics to hair in such a way that you can get decent renders. See my gallery for examples. The current limitation is in animations. The hair does not work well in animations at all. I am hoping SR4 (rumored to be out in Jan/Feb will resolve some of the dynamics issues.
