I did one in cinema 4d that uses variable sliders to change the thickness and refration levels of the lenses. It might be possible to do this for poser using morph dials.

try this. Go into your tool menue, options, privacy, and clear your cache. next, (this is more of a firefox insider tweak, but it helps with a LOT of problems) 1.Type about:config into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set network.http.pipelining to true Set network.http.proxy.pipelining to true Set network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. If youre using a broadband connection youll load pages MUCH faster now!

NTFS is a good file structure, but remember that the format is a one way street. Once you format to ntfs, you can't go back to fat32, which could cause headaches if you decide to revert to an older OS. My recomendations are this. 1. Back up any data you want to keep. 2. Use and old windows 98/ME boot disk, and partition the hard drice into one primary partition and one extended partition. I set aside roughly 1/3 of the total disk space for the primary partition. 3 Keep the primary partition fat32, (backwards compatability) and install windows to that partition. 4.When you have xp installed, use the disk management snap-in (right click my computer and select manage), and format the extended partition to NTFS. (Use the NTFS volume to store programs and data. That way, if you suffer from a system failure and have to reformat your c drive, all you loose is your windows info.)

have a look here. P.S. Pentiums have one major advantage over AMD, they can hold down more paper when the wind blows in the window :)Message edited on: 05/10/2005 15:59

This may be somewhat irrelivant, as I don't run P6 yet, but I have had memory issues in the past. There is a little program I use called 'mem turbo' that give the user the ability to recover hogged up ram and to defrag the ram and return the unused portions back to the free pool for program use. I have found that it has saved my bacon on many occasions when two or more programs are competing for resourses. I have successfully run both photoshop cs and poser 5 together with only 316 megs of ram using this. (Just don't try to recover ram when rendering lol. Poser get a little grumpy) Anyway, just a thought.
Thread: Is P5 and P6 Easier to Use Than P4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As of right now, I use poser 4 pp, and poser 5. After reading many of the p6 threads, I have decided to hold off on purchasing it until it's a bit more stable. I find that P4 is easier to use mainly due to the fact that it loads much faster and has better response times on my old system.(PII, 416mhz, 300megs ram). But when it comes to the directory structure, p5 can't be beat. Just about everything I have for content is installed to my poser 4, with my P5 pointing to that runtime. I don't render with either one, but when I have to, I find the P5 renderer to be easier to use, and the material nodes can come in handy now and then. I might think differently when I get P6, but for now I stick with my P4pp.
