For some reason, the download website does not have plugin anymore. Has it been taken down?

Some of * JPeter*'s celebrity lookalike morphs are pretty accurate. Check out his store here in the marketplace.
Thread: GIRL 3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I also would like a link to GIRL 3, and am highly appreciative of the work you put in to it.
Seeing as so many people would like the hybrid model, why not just place a link on renderosity freestuff?Â

Just Bookmarking this thread.
I wish there was a way I could bookmark a thread without having to post a message. That way the thread isn't cluttered up with posts such as mine :)
Thread: What is the best tool for backgrounds? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - One thing, I've found that photographic backgrounds, ie. photos of real scenes, just don't look good with 3D renders, possible due to lighting issues - direction, intensity etc.
Photographic backgrounds CAN look good with 3D renders - but only if one matches the background's perspective, camera focal length and lighting. Below are two examples that I think prove this point:

Thread: Toon renders in Poser 6 - progress made! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - but I reckon it's rather obvious why you omitted the hair and made sure the eyes and mouth were shut
Really?
Her eyes and mouth are shut (and her nose is up in the air) because the emotion I'm trying to convey is sublime arrogance. Her hair was omitted because the image above is still a work in progress and I hadn't yet added the hair in.
A more complete version of the image (with hair AND clothes) can be found at: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=1210683
Quote - p.s. forget about re-inventing the "find edges" technique.
I don't understand what you mean by this. Nobody on this thread (myself included) said anything about re-inventing the "find edges" technique. Please explain.
P.S. Â I will make the toon skin shader settings available via tutorial once I'm done tinkering with them - I'm still trying to get consistently good results.

I have tried the sketch render option, but its results seem too "rough sketched" (i.e. the foreground figure's solid lines contrast too strongly with the "sketch rendered" background lines).Â
One additional note: the background in the image I posted was created using method (2): I got a background image, then applied the photoshop "find edges" filter on it. That emphasized the background image's "line edges".
I then "desaturated" (i.e. removed all the colour from) the background image, leaving the background in the first post above. The remaining process would be to paint it in colour.
Thread: Another Poser Bookcover sighting. :) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The romance book cover's woman has a victoria specific armpit to chest distortion that looks very unrealistic and could have been postworked. Her skin texture is not as detailed as the man's, and I think the lighting/shadowing on her could be improved somewhat.
I usually don't spend that much time improving the fine aspects of my renders as I do them for my own entertainment, but I'm sure if I were given a commission I'd be willing to spend the extra time. I wonder if I could make some money making romance novel covers? Does it pay well? And is my art good enough for the job?
Any advice?
Thread: Feedback on New Marketplace Look | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
WIth this new setup, I don't think one can tell which one of their wishlist items is on sale without tediously clicking on each individual item's link. With the old setup, a blue "SALE" sign popped up next to each on sale item on the wishlist. For people like myself who put items on my wishlist and wait for them to go on sale before purchasing them, the new layout is a disaster.
Thread: Can a morph be split into two sides? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes! It can be done in Poser 6 (I'm not sure about Poser 5). There are small black arrows to the right of each Parameter dial. Click on the arrow pertaining to the morph you wish to split. A menu should pop up. One of the options should be "Split Morphs". Select this and Voila! Two additional morphs suffixed with _l and _r should be created.

Have you considered using "Madoka" here in the renderosity freestuff? Madoka is an Animedoll/Aiko 3 hybrid with Animedoll's head (which doesn't have the eyelash problem) and Aiko3's body. Unfortunately, "Madoka" isn't flawless: her upper neck region is somewhat distorted where it joins with the head - you may need to hide this. Alternately, one can use Himeko, available here in the Renderosity marketplace. Himeko's bodyshape is very similar to Aiko's (she can fit in Aiko's clothes with some tweaking), and she doesn't have any eyelash problems. However her facial morphs are VERY limited.
