Thread: Marvelous Designer 4 Public Beta still has 12 days to go. | Forum: DAZ|Studio

The Public Beta of Version 4, featuring a lot of new features, will allow you to do just that for the next 12 days.
New Features include a.o. quad meshing, symmetric editing and more. Look here for details.
Where are you downloading MD 4 at? I don't see a link
Go to your account and click on "Start now". on the following page is little floating box that says: "MD4 open beta", once you click that you get to page from where you can select to participate. Once you agree to the conditions, the download will added to your account.
Actually the "open beta" box appears on a number of pages.
TD
I had my screen zoomed in and didn't see it.
Thanks

I don't do much importing, only exporting to daz.

I beta tested it and I really liked the quads. I only made clothing for Daz3d and so far so good. I had a lot less issues in Daz3d around the beast and other tight areas with quads.

Thread: Can you install poser content into daz studio ? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Sorry, I don't see why you can't but you should probably wait for some other to answer to make sure they agree with me. Just because I still poser in my daz folder doesn't mean it's the best thing to do. :)

Actually what I do is have a poser folder, a daz folder then a "my daz stuff" folder in public directory with the poser and daz folders so I can have all my favorites installed in that one folder. I still both poser and daz in that one folder.
That keeps my searching for what I use alot where it easy to find.
Hope that helps

Thread: Convert to DXF AAMA Question | Forum: 3D Modeling
Quote - DXF-AAMA is a very specific file format by American Apparel Manufacturers. While DXF is the most commonly used file format for CAD drawings, the AAMA specificity isn't a very common exchange format for 3D data, and isn't widely supported by any 3D applications I can think of offhand. The only free 3D software resource I can think of where you may have a chance to find a "plugin" extention for this format is Blender, but I actually doubt it.
Optitex.com has software and online services that can import and export this format, but it's not free. If you have no other choice, then maybe check out their services.
I figure out late last night the DXF-AAMA format used by American Apparel Manufacturers. So I'm looking for free 3D fashion CAD software. I found a few but I really don't explect to find a useable software but at least I know it's not just me who doesn't know of any 3D software.
Thanks

I'm learning how to add your own textures from Dogwaffle back into MD3. Super fun. Works well also with PNG that have transparency.
If you ever want to come a board as a vendor, give me a yell. I'm trying to fill a gap in the market of products you won't normal find in other places. I have a couple MD designer who are start to sell stuff and I'm working on 3D clothing but selling them as OBJ file as clothing starter kits for people who want to sell their own clothing but skip the modeling stage.

Quote - do a Google search for web3d player, you'll find Unity and others from the game industry.
Some of these might have the ability to play your formats.
This is interesting and sends me on a whole new thought pattern on this. Honestly, my possible client is not very realistic about what can and can't be done. He wants to run his own animation in MD3 after I design his clothing and why I was looking for a simple way to convert it. If he let me do it then I would do the animation in another program all together.
However this really has me thinking of embeding a 3d OBJ veiwer in my store. I'm working one a new set of obj's to sell as starter kits.
Thank you so much for your help
