Thread: file error | Forum: Bryce
usually they do--however when you get that error message and resave obj it doesn't save a mtl file with the new save. there is a work around though: first resave using uvmapper then use grouper 1.1 and convert obj to new obj and then your textures will be intact. Bryan
Thread: file error | Forum: Bryce
just load the obj in uvmapper or like prog and resave without changing anything and it will load fine. Bryan

try clicking only on the fourth channel...it should allow you to pick a texture for that channel and load the bump...then you can check all four...i am assuming you are clicking the other 3 prior to the fourth thus making the fourth unclickable. Bryan

yeah...i totally agree pawdk. I am most likely gonna replace the guy entirely with a new guy and repose to make it more realistic. I didn't catch it at first...thanks :) Bryan

Thread: Is this possible with Bryce... | Forum: Bryce
the black hole syndrome shouldn't be a problem, so long as those objects which require patient tweaking of the texture on the object in the materials editor, or making the texture object top/front vs. parametric. Bryan

yeah...you can. after importing your model, in the materials lab you go to edit textures and copy/past your texture into the alpha channel, then use the bump option in material labs...usually 1.6 for me on human models. Or you can apply the bump separate by selecting bump on (2) and loading your bump in the edit textures section. So you will have in materials lab (1) your texture (2) your bump (3) empty (4) empty. hope this kinda helps, there are others that are much much better at explaining this mess :) Bryan
Thread: Transparency Maps | Forum: Bryce
select transparency to load on B and load the transparency map you want...don't apply a value to the transparency though...just move the dot over. so you have A: You texture, alpha, bump and B: Your transparency. don't apply any other value to your Transparency map values...no diffusion etc. Hope this helps. Thread: Poser 5 = Poser Studio | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Isidro: A wish list doesn't necessarily mean wishing for "good" or "far-fetched" ideas. One can just as much wish for nothing, or wish for limited change for economic purposes, etc. So if I'm whining, then you're whining just the same. Bryan
Thread: Poser 5 = Poser Studio | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I see it plain as day...I think this wish list has reached a point of absurdity. If you think Curious Labs is going to take anyone serious with a wish so ridiculous as to make Poser a high end animation/modeling tool, they're barking up the wrong tree. Basically when you add in all the options some of these people want, Poser becomes 3DS or Maya...why would Curious Labs want to even remotely touch this? You're talking about a 200 bucks program with 2000 dollars worth of options. Why not just buy 3DS or Maya or SoftImage and learn to use them...they can do all the things requested. I think the "cheeze" is the ridiculousness in wanting a 10k program for $200. my 2 cents Bryan
