I really like this, but I think it could go in a more cartoony direction that would look really nifty. Here's what I'm seeing for this picture: Take the suggestion of the people about cloud. You might even try solid-white spheres in little groups of three. Take a look at Pixar's "For The Birds" for a nice, cartoony sky. Toy with the idea of making your grass texture solid green. I'm thinking of the green that's in Bryce's "Simple" category of mats. Make the lighting a bit brighter. You're using awesome bright colors like red, yellow, and green, but the lighting seems a bit dull and ALMSOT overcast. A nice, bright light job could look really nice. Otherwise, I love your style of modelling and the houses look fantastic. Keep us posted!

It's probably just me, but I don't like the second orb. The CD against the tree, though, that was a good touch.

I have no idea what book this is, so I don't quite know what you're going for. That said, I vote for the second one. It brings a mood that seems to fit the emptiness of the socks and shoes. Good luck!

Nooo!!! Not Lord of the Flies! I found it to be pretty boring. The ending is pretty good, though. Nice looking image, dBGraphix. I like the island, not your run-of-the-mill one-click Bryce island. Again, work on the water. You could even add an airplane/jet in the distance. Good luck with it!

Oh yeah! I forgot it was Patty's Day! I've got a chunk of Irish in me...at least I think I do. My dad's been making up his nationality for a long time. We were French for a while but now we're somehow British. I think Irish, though, has been pretty consistent. Plus...I have red-tinted hair and freckles (I also sizzle under the sun). So, I'm pretty sure I am one of the Irish!

Quest: The plaque, while biblically accurate, may detract from the image. Thanks for the compliment and I'm glad you enjoyed the film!

tjohn: It does appear a bit green but it's actually a yellow light. I added it get more of a 3-Dimensional feel rather than a pute silhouette but, when I first placed it there, the sun was in place but I forgot to go back after I fiddled with the scene. Also, by "the first one", do you mean the one that's posted or the first of the four alternative ones? Thanks a lot for your feedback!

Ya know...it's really strange. As I looked at your original image, I got this funny feeling. I don't know how to explain it but I love it! It made me very happy, calm, and at ease. Thanks, Ricky!

The brightness of the sky and the shadows of the mountains clash in the first one. I like the second IMAGE much better but the first SKY is my favorite.
