Vue didn't find the textures, but I told it where to find 'em and now it's working. Thanks very much!

Apparently there was something wrong with the 3ds file, I tried using an obj and now it's fine. Should'a thought of that sooner.
Thanks for all you suggestions Rich.

Still no luck. Almost everything else works, All of the mats that come with Vue seem to be fine, one brick texture I made has the same problem, (but my hardwood floor is fine) and the amp skin is still the same, bumpless.

Thanks Rich but no luck. Everything looks normal in the material editor.
I've copied the materail from the bottom and pasted on the top several times now, so all settings should be the same.

The material shown there is a spectral one, and I tried all the other types too.
This is the one that showed up the most.
Thread: Accurate Stars in Vue? | Forum: Vue
Just to be completely different, you could take a photo of the sky and put it in as a billboard or alpha plane. I know it can be hard to get stars to show up in a photograph but migth be worth a try... and if it works it'll definitly give you the best realism ; )

Thread: wierd pattern | Forum: Vue
-Bruno, yes. I couldn't get rid of the pattern but since it didn't show up at 1600x800 I rendered the sky at that, enlarged it, and put it in in front of my messed up sky, and since it didn't have much detail anyway it looks fine. I'll post the image in my gallery soon. Ben
Thread: rays of sunlight breaking trough heavy clouds | Forum: Vue
The only way I've done this is by using photo's of real skies on alpha planes for the background, which looks great, but you need to find a suitable sky and take a picture of it first. You might try making clouds that are seperate from the normal vue clouds, like that are 3D objects in the scene so they show up in the wireframe x y z and main camera views, and then use volumetric sunlight. that would probably work but would take ages to render. hope this helps Ben
Thread: Removing Pixelation in Digital Photos | Forum: Photoshop
IS your camera maual? 'cuz if it is you can use a lower ISO like 200 or less (although you will need to use looong exposures) and that will get rid of the red, blue and green pixels, but if it's point and shoot then you'll have to get better lighting or fix it in photoshop...
