yeah but i didnt know what it was, or more importantly WHERE it was to turn it on. I found a tut with PICTURES showing me, and lo and behold........ So while there are no animations, this is what I have done so farThread: Help newbie question on making animations in Ver 5 | Forum: Bryce
yup it was a silly simple thing like switching on the Autokey. But now I know LOTS more about animations than I did before hand :)

Hey thanks! I actually managed to figure out what the problem was after surfing the net for tuts and testing it. The tut I had was for ver 4 and for people who had done animations before. Im using a brand spanking new ver 5 and the tut finally worked after I turned AUTOKEY on, then it was fine. I also found how to do a path manually which was also good. But this Path thingy........oooh I didnt know about that, it looks quite cool! Thanks for the help folks, and good to see the book Ive paid quite a bit of money for, is recommended again :)

Thread: Which Fractal Generator for What Purpose .... Your Advice Please | Forum: Fractals
Hi a bit of a delayed response here (ive been in hospital) but I use Xenodream fairly extensively its fair to say, and I trialled UF. I must be a right brained person cos I just could not get into UF (or Bryce for that matter) but XD is sooooooooooo me! I have also used Sterling and QSFlame - two more different and free programs. Sterling makes classic type fractals similar to UF but without the layering and colouring options and cool stuffs. QSFlame makes flame type fractals which are swirly stripes of colour arranged in diff ways as far as I can tell, a bit limited in scope but pretty to look at. I would love to get my hands on FraxFlame cos it looks more in depth. Anyway you can see some beginner examples of all the ones ive mentioned here: http://www.geocities.com/terragenblue and go to the Fractal Gallery. There are links to where you can find them on my links page. HTH
Thread: How many of you fractalists are night owls? | Forum: Fractals
We had a discussion a few weeks ago about what kind of ambience we like (time of day, music etc) and overwhelmingly came to the conclusion that late at night was the most popular time. Various reasons as to why (after work, after kids have gone to bed etc) But yes Ive been known to stay up till at least midnight rendering on the odd occasion :) (usually chatting on ICQ at the time LOL)
Thread: How many Xenodream users are there here? | Forum: Fractals
yes just clicking on stuff (which is how I work too :) gets surprising results) doesnt really work with XD, you need to have a basic idea of what to do THEN randomly clik on stuff :)

Well I can recommend going in to the help files and doing the Shell Tutorial and then the other one. I did the Shell one first and played quite happily for a few months with that. The second one (name forgotten sorry) teaches you about metamorphs which are really cool!

For me its something to drink, usually coke, something to snack on, either lollies or bikkies and music of choice for the last little while is the sound track to Queen of the Damned. I also like Karma by Delerium, Book of Secrets by Loreena McKennit, and various other mixed compilations I can sing to without thinking about the words. With Headphones on so I can listen really loud, and sing really tunelessly so I dont hear myself LOL Oh and I like to turn the main light off and turn my reading halogen light around to it backlights me, i can see my shadow on the bedroom wall while im boogying to the music while im rendering :) Almost always prefer to work at night to get something creative done, im a 'moderate owl' not by choice but by lifestyle, if I had a choice I would be an 'extreme owl'
