Subject: Newbie question re warping terrains

i have seen an image of a chessboard which is warped so that it has a slight twist and the corners are folded and twisted over and down a bit. i want to do this in bryce and cannot for the life of me figure it out. Is it possible to do this from within bryce, or do I need another 3D program (that I havent got) to do it for me Many thanks

BlueRose - is it possible to provide a link to the type of thing you want to do? That way it'd be easier to say if it's possible in Bryce :o) It sounds like it should be easy enough to do, using a terrain, by a combination of tweaking in Photoshop, and using the Square Edges button in the Terrain Editor (drag to the left to lower the edges). I agree with Ang25, Wings is a great program, well worth learning.

And with booleaning the terrain in question...

You can use a terrain to make the edges curl up. I did the sheets of paper in my Gutenberg render that way. You cannot roll the terrain over itself like you would see on the bottom of a scroll. To do that you have to model.
