Jim, Thanks for your suggestion. I tried inverting the settings, but no luck. I think it's more technical, so I guess I will contact Canon and ask for their assistance. Thanks anyway. :-) Daniel

This is just a book cover I grabbed to illustrate the problem. The smaller thumbnail is taken from Amazon.com to show what the cover is supposed to look like. Please help if you can! Thanks
Thread: Skin Tone Chart and Texture tut questions | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Almost forgot: Speaking of tuts, does anyone have a tutorial on creating morph targets using Strata 3D? Again, please remember I'm even more inept at modeling than at making textures. At least I know how to use Photoshop. Thanks, Daniel daniel@danielchicago.com
Thread: 3DS to Bryce 4 texture question | Forum: Bryce
BTW, the 3D Studio Max obj export plugin helps, but the texture still doesn't get applied correctly.
Thread: 3DS to Bryce 4 texture question | Forum: Bryce
I want the model to work in Bryce 4, not Poser. However, Poser will apply the texture maps, while Bryce does not. What I'm going to do is see how Poser imports the model by opening the obj file in a text editor then perfom surgery on an obj file that's heading into Bryce.
Thread: 3DS to Bryce 4 texture question | Forum: Bryce
Caligula suggested to me via email that I should use a text editor and compare how Poser references the mtl file, then rewrite the file to be used in Bryce accordingly. Anyone ever tried this? And how did it work out? Thanks, Daniel
Thread: 3DS to Bryce 4 texture question | Forum: Bryce
I've always seen these mtl files hanging around after I import something out of Poser, but I never knew what they were for, so I just trashed it. Now it's all coming to me...mtl = materials? "Come on Daniel, let's pay attention please!" Let's see...9 AM now....how many hours must I endure before I can get home and play??? Guess if I stop misappropriating company time and all that, it might go by a little faster! Thanks, and I'll let you know how it turns out!

Can you reccommend any good books? I've been looking, but there seem to be a shortage of Bryce books in Chicago! LOL...let me know, and I'll check on Amazon.com. Thanks, Daniel

I guess it helps if I read both parts of the message, LOL....it's actually starting to make a little bit of sense now! Thanks, Art! Daniel

Hey that looks pretty cool, Art! I like that! I'm sorry I didn't see it until today--I've been searching for what some people refer to as "free time" (!?) and haven't found anything like it yet. Unfortunately, my sand writing hasn't gone anywhere near as well as what you've done here. Bryce and myself are only starting to see eye to eye on things, and this isn't one of them yet, LOL! Any suggestions? Thanks, Daniel
Thread: Writing in the sand | Forum: Bryce
Very cool, thanks. I will give both of these methods a try and see which one works best for me. (Mind you, Bryce and I don't alway see you to eye, so I may be back soon with even more questions!!!!! Daniel daniel@danielchicago.com

As promised, here are some links to Doctor Who & Blake's 7 3D stuff I've found: http://members.tripod.co.uk/aDziE/album.html. Just found this Blake's 7 3D site. Has some great pictures. I've emailed the fellow and asked him about his "Liberator" model, but he hasn't responded yet. http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~mimrie/dalek/daleka.htm. If you want 3D Daleks, then this is the site to visit. You can download several great Dalek models, and there are links to the TARDIS, K9, a sonic screwdriver, and a Mechanoid from the 1965 episode "The Chase." Very cool! http://www.furnation.com/cobalt/tardis.html. This is an awesome site, definately not to be missed. You will be very impressed. I was. http://www.tobor.demon.co.uk/DrWho.htm. Another great Doctor Who 3D site. You can download a TARDIS and a Dalek, not to mention several B7/Dr Who-style spaeships. (He also has some great Terminator, Star Trek, and Lost in Space stuff here as well.) Most of the stuff available for download is in 3DS format. Speaking of which, is there a utility that will convert 3DS files to Bryce native? I've been having a hard time with a model of the TARDIS and getting the texture maps to look right. Thanks, Daniel

Well, if you wanna tackle the helments too that would be cool. I think I can find some kind of flowing sort of robes somewhere on the Internet. Let me know if I need to look for some other examples. Gotta run before the boss catches me online, misusing company time and all that! I will post some links here tonight to some DW 3D stuff tonight!!! Daniel

Teyon, Can you model these high-backed Time Lord collars for use in Poser? Thanks, Daniel
