Quote - Actually, rathat than confroming, I'd consider making this a dynamic prop - parent the object to the clothing underneath, set the fastened ends as constrained points, and run the simluation. You're likely to get better results of the sash in motion that way, as it crosses various bodyparts, than you are with it bending with the body a la conforming clothing.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to do yesterday, actually. I was seeing if I could simulate a piece of cloth wrapping around him like that, but Poser crashed... Eheh.. Guess that took too much power or something...

Quote - I would model it and make it a conforming figure . You could make it a texture for the figures bodysuit or other suitable clothing item .
That's what I was originally thinking - a conforming figure. But aren't those hard to make?
I don't think a texture would work very good in this situation though...
Thread: How can you make hair for Poser figures? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Hair making tutorials are hard to find. The actual modelling is not hard, and can be done with one of the free 3D modellers - however the mapping and texturing is more critical for a realistic result. The transmap has to be done right, and it helps a great deal if the mapping is very flat, so that straight hairs on the maps appear straight on the final model. You can make half a head of hair and mirror it, but obviously the result would be perfectly symmetrical. Most people's hair isn't symmetrical.
Well my character is anime and I designed him to have hair that's the same on both sides, so mirroring seems like a good option..
Do you know how to mirror a prop? I don't..
And lets see.. I have wings 3d, but.. It seems that it only makes shapes, and I wouldn't know how to get it to look like hair..
Thread: How to do keep a morph on a model? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - If you set the morphs and do edit memorise figure, when you do restore the figure will go back to your morphed version.Â
That's what that does? Well thank you for telling me! I think that will work nicely!~ :)
Thread: Making symetrical hair in Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Okay, I tested the basics of the morphing idea, and it works so far. I need to work out a method to force proper correlation of hairs/polygons in the two hair objects and a few other things. Not the way I would have preferred to do this, but it may be the only way possible. :(
Well it's good that it's working so far, and thanks again for going through all this trouble!

Quote - Hmm. More complications. Patching in a new geometry seems to work, until you try to render or activate "show populated". The altered hair simply doesn't respond, and renders invisible. So the premise of adding geometry looks like it won't work at all.
I can think of one more possibility. If the user creates two symmetrical hair groups, build from a mirrored skullcap prop, and styles one side, the styling can be set as a morph target for both sides. That should result in hair elements which are symetrically styled, but there are potential complications in this, too, primarily connected to the question of whether the polygon orders of the two hair props can be consistently expected to be compatible enough to figure out how to set the morphs correctly for both.
Still working on it.
Hmmm...
The only problem I can think of fr that second possiblility is that.. I don't have a skullcap for the Hiro model... Would you have to use a skullcap?
Thread: Making symetrical hair in Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - It wouldn't be a terribly difficult script, although there is one key limitation that would complicate things. PoserPython wouldn't be able to create a new group for the hairs it would add. So it would either have to work from a user-defined symmetrical hair group in the OBJ or it would have to append the new hairs to the same group used by the side which is being mirrored.
I'd kind of hoped someone would jump in and say there is a pre-existing tool or script. If there isn't, I'll try to tinker with the idea and see if I can develop anything for Python.
It'd be fine if it was in the same group, I wouldn't mind that at all!
That'd be awesome if you'd do that! :D

Quote - Hypothetically, a Python script should be able to mirror selected hairs, if there isn't a built-in tool for this (I know there's no such tool in Poser 5). I don't think any such script currently exists, however....
It's a shame I don't know anything about Python Script then.. :( Thanks for trying though..

Quote - If you have poser 6 do you have pmd files switched on? Try switching them off, but you will need to redo your figure and save it into a library again.
 I don't even know what a pmd file IS!! But I'll try making my figure again..

Thread: Can you apply more then one texture at once? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
More like if I applied a texture to the head, and then I wanted to put on another one over that one on the head. Thats what I want to know... Like the Nami MAT for Aiko, I apply that. Then I want to put a face tattoo texture I made onto her face even though it already has the Nami texture there.. I wanna know if you can put two on at the same time..
Forgive my ignorence, I'm only 14
