Thanks for your answer, yes I do models by myself in Inventor 2012, like you say
I can define separate faces (solids) for places where I want to have uniqe textures. Maybe this is the easiest way to do, unless I learn to use 3DS max :-)

I guess I need DivX Pro to get hands on encoder facility. I will try to install to see If that option appears as a choice in VUE. I work on a more novice level so I think this will be enough.

Not really I do not get the option in VUE to choose DivX or Xvid. I can choose Microsoft RLE, Microsoft Video.1, Intel YIVD and uncompressed.. I do not understand in wich format VUE save beacuse I am not able to open in any player.

I tried to export as .obj. And that worked, just some nagging about texture file missing. But I think I will solve.

Yes VUE "should" read Poser files, but there are some issue with VUE8, It does not work to import directly. There are many threads about this issue. If I leave the object untouched and Import to VUE (as collada) It looks fine. But immediately when I make some changes the skin cracks.

Thread: VUE 8 slow rendering! | Forum: Vue
Quote - Render presets hae been changed in Vue 8,for exapmpe if you used broardcast, it was faster in ue 7, because features like texure filetring and Texture anti aliasing have been added in the Vue 8 broadcast preset.
I use mostly Final and Preview to render my objects. Even in Preview rendering time is 5-6 times
slower than in VUE 7, where do I find displacement (sorry for novise question) :-)

Now I managed to get It to work, my populations follow the patchs very nice. In the beginning of the tutorial you mentioned how to create roads/patchs in VUE. I do not posess GeoLogic2 so I have to stick to VUE for this purpose. In witch tutorial do you describe this function. For example i need a patch to follow a slope. I use Inventor in my proffession so I can quiet easy create my own objects.

I followed the tutorial that was presented for me. I can add a patch created in Photoshop. This patch shows on terrain. But what shall I do to populate only this patch. I tried for hours but It populate the entire area..

So what would be the conclusion? Shall I reinstall the sofware and hope that any broken files will be replaced and register cleaned!
Thread: Error in VUE | Forum: Vue
I think the error log is generated by VUE, just like hein said. As It is now I can only start VUE one time after system restore. Second time I start, I end up with the same message again. I have found SendLog.exe in two folders, but I can´t do anything with them. Sometimes two error dump files are created, but even if I delete them I end up with same problem.. Maybe there are some way to disable the error report from within VUE ?
Thread: Error in VUE | Forum: Vue
VUE can´t prepare the error log? It says "Something went wrong while trying to prepare an error log for your e-on application" Only way for me to start VUE again is to make a system restore to a point before this error accured....?
