Hi, Thanks for your reply. Yes they have confirmed my 5 serial number but that only allows me to upgrade from 5 to 6. 5 is no longer installed on my computer after the fire so I need them to re-allocate my 4 serial number to complete the upgrade from 4 to 6 and not 5 to 6. Many thanks, L13RAF

I think the cause may have come to light in the because I used my 4 serial number to upgrade to 5 it has blocked out my 4 serial number. I did explain to Curious Labs that I lost my 5 discs and documentation in a fire at my home so reverted back to using 4. I have requested them to re load my 4 serial number in to their system so that I can then upgrade. No doubt they will say 'No' and tell me to purchase a relacement version of 5 :-) L13RAF

My serial number which starts XF41CUZ is confirmed by Curious Labs when registered with them and when I have reloaded Poser 4 software it accepts the serial number without any problem. So where does the answer lie with this problem ???????? L13RAF

Thanks for your reply and pleased to read that you upgraded from 6 to 4 without problems. I have written a number of e-mails to Curious Labs who keep telling me to check that my serial number has been entered correctly and not being a stupid person I have entered it the was it is written on their information and still have not answered follow up e-mails informing them of that. I refuse to pay for the full version when I meet the critera to upgrade and maybe one day I will get an answer from them and get my upgrade from 4 to 6 Best wishes and thanks, L13RAF

Hi John,
Thanks for your reply.
I tried to register using the serial number that comes inside the CD holder and just added the INST- bit after reading the registration information. I was amazed when it came back 'incorrect serial number'.
I managed to load the software a while ago only to be told that my upgrade serial number that I used to load VUE4 Pro on top of VUE4 was also no correct and yet it is registered with E-on.
Boy am I frustrated especially if tech support is in Paris and they reply as infrequenty as they do. Is Bryce 5 any better :-)
Steve.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Tried entering serial number in lower case but still no luck so have a new product that I cannot use and e-on have still not replied to my question. Let me know how you get on with your sidegrade when it 'finally' arrives.
I still cannot register my product as I am informed that my serial number is incorrect. The plot thickens ????

Hi Wabe, Many thanks for reply and have attached a sample as requested. SteveThread: Alternatives to rendering in VuePro? | Forum: Vue
Hi, Today I did a picture containing 6 conifer tree's and my final render time was running from 2h 56s, and very slowly, so am seriously considering going back to the normal 4 for while. At least we know that works !!!!!!! I have also have serious problems with the hypervue rendercow system. When I try to use autoscan it just freezes up the whole of VUE4 PRO and I have to come out of the programme and restart the whole thing. UGH. And that is with the new downloaded update. !!!!!!! Steve.

Yes. They are visible in wire frame mode but then when I render it only the campfire logs are visible, the flames are not. The same when I import the fairy light effects. Again they are visible in wire frame but the colours are black and white. Do you think it is something to do with my VUE settings. Thanks again for your help. Steve.

Thanks for the advice re colouring objects in wireframe mode but unfortunately having to colour thousands of lights, fires etc to make a picture defeats the object of opening pz3 files. There must be an answer out there somewhere to opening an imported file and it responding as saved. Steve
