Thank you very much, this time it has worked! Must have been the "first time buyers" thing then, I was really confused with the message of the "exceeded the maximum number of downloads"... If it had told me "the buyer still has to be verified" or something like that, I would probably have remembered my first purchase here.

You have explained everything so well and really helped me. I did all you said and it still does not work. maybe anyone else has a suggestion? Bump mapping works perfectly fine btw...
What I do:
I load the diplacement maps on M4, go to the surface menu, highlight M4 in the tree and play with the dialer fpr displacement, nothing happens. Where it says the file name, it says "Multiple" when all of M4 is highlighted. When I only highlight a specific body part of him in the tree, it say the name of the file for the body part I just chose, like it should be I guess. So it finds all the files it needs I assume as it automatically telly me which one it is using when a body part is chosen.
I see nothing though, even with strongest displacemt chosen. I play with lights and do litle renders to take a look as I assumed maybe it is just not visible in the preview but in the result render.
This is really starting to p*** me off as I spent money for these and I love how they look. Others peoples characters looks so great with these and so much more realistic. I always have to draw the veins in post work which takes some time and is not always easy due to the chosen lighting in the render.
Please, if anyone has any idea or has had the same problem and solved it, help me out.

Ha, that mighjt be the solution s I am new to photoshop and I do not know stuff like this. have been working with gimp before and this is actually my first photoshop created texture... :-) I wil try this this evening when the kids are in bed and come back! :-)

Yes, it still were two layers when I converted it as it merges automatically. But I am gonna give it a try and merge them before manually and then convert and see what happens.

Oh, a wacom is great, I have one and I love it... ;-)
Btw - I used a high res brush now for testing purposes, it jas around 2000pixels which is not too bad for a texture with a res of 4000x4000 pixels... The result in the render looks like tha... I am lost.

I am looking at the render actually... It looks horrible... maybe Darwin is right and it is the tattoo, that it is still too low resolution although it al ready is pretty high... Looks like I am gonna paint the tat by hand then, damnit... :-)

Just wondering... will these muscle maps only show in the render result or before while I am still posing and all? I am having a little problem with maps for M4, this is why I am asking. :-)
