Bill consulted with me regarding the work in question. I viewed the QT proofs and found that; if these were produced as finals, they'd be essentially unusable, as a result, Bill rejected them. Virus, you've got some talent, but this work hardly constitutes professional quality 3D visualisation. My 2 cents.

ttops, doing that would ultimately degrade the quality of your animation. You really want to animate it correctly to begin with so you don't loose frame rates by attempting to stretch it out in post.

Thread: Max vs. Bryce? (Seriously, I need some good advice...) | Forum: Animation
As Max's learning curve isn't all that steep, it will take alot of time and dedication to reach a stage where you can produce with acceptable (professional) results. I would recommend learning the application regardless of your production, and depending on your time constraints, you could use Max as you progress. If you're strapped for time, go with what you know and keep Max on the burner as you learn it, for future projects. Good Luck

Thread: Compositing Woes | Forum: Animation
If you're going to invest the time and effort into animation, you should invest the time and effort into learning a professional package. As far as compositing goes, I suggest you pick up Adobe After Effects. It's got it all and more, and it's really not difficult to learn. The stinger is the pricetag, but it's worth it in the long run.
Thread: Whats a good video editor for Poser animations? | Forum: Animation
If you're looking for a serious video editor with all the bells and whistles... go for Adobe After effects, or Discreet's Combustion. These applications have it all, but they are in a professional price range.

You might also look into software that is more versatile when approaching a project such as yours. Programs such as Lightwave and 3DS max offer goodies such as particle systems with object defelection. These allow for breathtakingly realistic water/object interactions. Aside from particles, the overall potential of these applications is only limited to your imagination, (and of course a learning curve) This is, however, a much more costly solution, but might be worth looking into depending on your budget and what you want your end result to look like.
Thread: if anyone can help | Forum: Carrara
I think there's nothing at wrong with genuine calls for assistance. There comes a point in all our lives when we find ourselves down and out.

Maybe non damaging to the general public and as far as data is concerned, but when sites like Ebay and Yahoo go down, you're talking a major loss of revenue for these companies. Very damaging I'd say.
Thread: Kissing | Forum: Animation
Get yourself a video reference, i.e. a couple kissing, then bring it into your 3D application. In MAx, you can apply .avi's and Quicktimes as textures to say a plane objects. This way, you can scrub frame by frame, checking your reference while animating your character. This makes for some really believeable animation.

Cheryle, that's exactly what some of the moderators, including myself have been talking about. Actually, the idea of a seperate chat area, perhaps dubbed the "conference room" would enable forum moderators to reserve specific times for structured chats. Great idea.
