Hi Nails,
Thanks for the response. If I understood you correctly, this is what I did. I extracted the zip grabbed the Runtime folder from it, then dropped into Poser's runtime folber. (screen captures below) I'm still not getting anything. Please let me know if you see that I did something wrong. Thanks...

Chuck. Thank you. Much appreciated...
3D Monster... In technical creation, buttons and switches are perhaps the most important thing to learn. It is your instrument. It's like learning guitar if you don't learn in the proper way with good technique and know your fret board and the notes on it (which most people don't by the way) your playing will always be limited. Knowing your instrument is the first step and the reason that I am having problems now. I don't know it well enough.
Thanks for your input and that is the end of my input on this. I don't wish to get into a friendly philosophical debate on this. Cheers...Ian

PS You did make a good point about testing. Since I recently had some great help by someone on this forum, it gave me a little more insight on the keyframes, so I just did some tests with the models and I'm getting a better idea of setting things up. Your post inspired me. Thanks and thanks for the links...

I've already animated a fari amount of things in Poser, and yes true animation takes a very long time, but Poser is unique in that it has pre-made, pre rigged models (sorry, just don't like calling them dolls) and so in theory, it is as easy as starting a pose or camera at one position and then moving down the time line and repositioning the pose or camera. That's also what's frustating about it, because it doesn't seem to work that well, probably because there is something I am doing wrong, or how I'm setting things up etc.
I've worked with key-frames in tons of other programs, not animation, but music, sound, and video and this just seems buggy. And, although I appreciate your input, I am not going about it wrong. Beating your head against a wall is not the best way to learn. I learn best from watching someone do something and then repeating it, and since there isn't much online for me to do that, hiring someone to show me a few things is the most intelligent thing to do.
I will say that is may be in the wrong section however. I saw a section for posting job types of things. Perhaps I'll try that.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my post. I appreciate it. Cheers...Ian

Thanks again Seachnasaigh. I will try to upload the sequence to Drop box.
And Richard, thanks for the explanation. I believe that you are a about a layer hierarchy.
I've done some fairly complex animation with this from time to time. It's keyframing system just doesn't seem logical to me, like some other systems that I've used in music and editing programs. But mostly, I can't find a good video on it. For me that is key. I don't like learning from text. I do best watching someone do something. And like I said before, if there is someone who lives in Los Angeles and know this well, I'd pay them for a couple of hours, just so I can get more out of this thing.
Thanks again, guys...
PS The models are Jessie. Alyson, Roxie and Kate.,

Hi Seachnasaigh and Richard60.
Very grateful for both of your responses. Thank you.
As far as the (SydneyG2? V4.2? Roxie?). I am not sure what that is. I will try to find it. I am on Poser 10.
As to the suggestion by Richard that I may have done camera moves on each layer. I did think of that and went through all of my layers and key-frames and deleted everything and than created a new layer for my camera which solved another issue I was having where I couldn't animate my camera after frame one. So I fixed that.
I will admit that I don't know the keyframing as well as I should. And most of what I have learned is through trial and error. I've never been able to find any really good tutorials on it.
Is 11 any better in regards to keyframes and animation? Doesn't seem like its getting great reviews, but if it improves that I would be interested in upgrading.
Thanks again guys and Seachnasaigh, if you're serious about me sending it to you, that would be a great favor to me.
Thanks again...?

No worries. Thanks for the ideas...
This is kind of the problem. It seems that most people use Poser for modeling still frames and making characters. Doesn't seem like most people use it for animation. But it would be so great to just pre viz things if it just worked better. Thanks again...

Hi Rokket,
Thanks for the reply. I am outputting to an image sequence using PNG files and then opening it up with Quicktime 7, because it still had that feature... And I'm just using the native resolution...640 I think it is...
Thread: How do I import the scene I bought into Poser | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Got the archiiver to work and tried putting it in several places within the runtime and nothing is working. Very aggravating. This program drives me nuts...

Thanks, Hborre for taking the time to do this. Much appreciated. I tried to upzip the files with a program called the Unarchiver for Mac, but am getting a message that I can't unzip with this program. This program tends to drive me nuts, because every little thing becomes a huge deal, and I say this from know a lot of programs from all over the creative spectrum. Just not very intuitive.
I'll continue to try to figure this out. If anyone knows a good Mac program for unzipping files let me know. Thanks again...

I appreciate your response, but really need very specific instructions, take this folder or file and move it to this folder kind of thing. I don't really understand the nomenclature or really the concept of what a Runtime is. To me, right now it's just a folder and I need to know exactly where to put things and if they will stay in folders or not.
I don't know enough to completely grasp what you are saying.
Thanks again for your response and everyone else who has responded. I truly appreciate it.
PS If there are any video links out there that explains this stuff please let me know. Poser doesn't seem to have a lot of videos about it.

And should there be any folders (like the runtime folder) or should I just dump all the objs in there?
