Thread: [Vue 10 x] Make dark water for rendering and little bordeline waves | Forum: Vue
How you can see, now foam is good near terrains edge. But I really can't deal trasparency...
If I increase Trasparency slide is of course all trasparent;
If I decrease Transparency, water wash terribly out ... ans Muke is already to 70 - 80%...

Quote - You need to raise the level of your water. Â The foam is showing all over as it's too close to the ground plane. Â The foam will then only appear where the terrain is below it.
You can either adjust the sea level in the object properties of the sea plane or you can manually raise it by dragging the object upwards.
Â
I make that but...:

Essentialy, I don't know why the foam is all over the water and not just at di edges, where terrain touchts water:

Quote - I notice also by the shadow that your terrain in the foreground is floating on the water. Â You need to drop thatÂ
Â
Uhm... do you mean I've to ad a light or simply I've to move sun?
Â
And what about "little bordeline waves"
as I see, for exemple, in your great image posted?

Thread: Scale SEA | Forum: Vue
Quote - A Sea object is an infinite object, so you can't really have more than one, they would intersect and look bad when rendered. You can't scale an infinite object, because, being infinite, it has no limits. I suggest you use 2 cubes for your lakes. You can then use a metawater materail for your cube, but controls for foam and waves will only be available in the function editor, less convenient than with a Sea object.
Â
Great Bruno, as always, I-m gonna try!

Many thanks!

Vue has a 40964096 resolution and therefore could be a good idea to create a 40964096 greyscale 16bit map in Photoshop and of course import, try to capture/scan a geo map or Sat map at the same resolution.
What do you think?

THX!
Thread: Best practise to create terrain from DEM or original geo map | Forum: Vue
Hi bruno,
I' forgotten just an other question...
if you use a original DEM imported in VUE on a procedural terrain, via FUCTION EDITOR/ - IMAGE MAP NODE, resolution and dimension are the same of a DEM file?
In the same time I ask you what do you think is a good resolution for the second way to make a terrain - i.e. building in Photoshop a greymap scale 16 bit from a geo or topographic maps, or also from satellite screenshoot toke in Google Earth (o Google Maps) - cause we have to decide these parameter when we trasform our geo maps in a grayscale Map in photoshop...

Many thanks!
