Yeah i've been to adorama, the only thing holding me back is it says it's the super, not super 2. And the only way I know how to tell them apart is by a red stripe around the lense, which I can't see in the picture they provide. And supposedly the super 1 has minor problems which the super 2 fixed. Anyone know another way to tell the 2 versions apart?? Thanks for the info guys. I'm gonna check out the cannon 75-300.
Thread: Where is Sigma 70-300 Macro Zoom Super 2 ? | Forum: Photography
on that site they have the macro super 2 and the zoom macro super 2. the macro is 149 and the macro zoom is 209. They even have a picture of the lense with the red stripe, which is cool since other places don't. Thanks a lot for the link DHolman Hopefully they get it instock soon... Spring is starting here, and the birds, dear, squirrels, chipmunks, racoons, bees, etc are all out just waiting for me to take their picture :)

One other thing... If you plan on using filters a lot, then you'd be best to work in RGB, some of the filters won't work in CMYK... I don't us filters much so I forgot, sorry.

Oh and some printers want the file saved differently... I've had to save it as EPS, Tiff, and even JPG... So always ask how the printer wants it...

Ok... For one thing. ALWAYS Use HIGH RES PICTURES!!!!!!!!! Gawd, nothing is more aweful than someone sending a picture that is 72 dpi, I just hate it. When you scan pictures, use a real high resolution. Here is a tip.... Making things smaller make them look better, as in a picture that is 300 dpi and 20" by 20" will look really well when you bring it down to say 10" by 10". BUT if the picture is 72 dpi and 5" by 5", it will look awfull when you bring it up to 300 dpi 10" by 10". Also, the standard for printing is CMYK color and 300 dpi. Atleast, thats what i've been led to believe. Really, you learn this stuff as you gain experience doing it. You'll figure out what works best, etc, etc... The real key, or whatever you want to call it is to always use hi res pitures. It makes life so much easier, and makes the end product look a lot better. Oh and the bigger the image is the better... Hi res is good, but a hi res 20" by 20" picture is better than say a hi res 1" by 1"... Atleast, thats what i've come to learn. I'm still somewhat new to the whole thing though, just turned 17. I have 5 magazine ads published so far, and this is just what i've learned along the way... Oh and if your wondering what CMYK means... It's Cyan Magenta Yellow Black, I think thats how printers print. With those colors I mean... Pretty sure... So I always try to work in CMYK mode instead of RGB mode when doing print work. If I can do it though, no worries, anyone can.
Thread: Poser 4 to Bryce 3D, why won't it work? Please someone help me! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks a lot everyone. I'm gonna go find that poser patch and see if that works. I am still considering upgrading to bryce 5 just because of the the new Tree Lab/Light Lab and more control over renderings (Depth of field etc...) I appreciate all the help a lot. Thanks.
Thread: Poser 4 to Bryce 3D, why won't it work? Please someone help me! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for the info. I think I will get Bryce5. I've been trying to dl the trial version, but it won't work so i'll just have to buy it, I can get it for a pretty good price on ebay... Anyone have some websites with info on the new Bryce 5? The corel website is kind of thin... I would love to know the new improvements... I hear the rendering engine is new? And I hear poser 4 brings the textures automatically when transfered if in the same directory? What else has been improved?

"Is your texture applied when you render the figure, but incorrectly? Or is no texture applied whatsoever?" It is on the figure, but not right... I have made texture maps for a couple models I have, with the whole Alpha channel bump map, etc thing... I don't know how to do figures like this though because usually I only did one side on my models... "And a really good tut on texturing you find at www.brycetech.com ( you dont need to ungroup everything, there is an easier way) " Yeah I've read that one. It is for Bryce 4 though, I have read the links they provided for Bryce 3D though, still can't get it to work... I am considering buying Bryce 5 for a Xmas present for myself, anyone know how well Corel has done with it? Is it worth the upgrade?

errr I mean 2 pixels high... So like a picture 1000 pixels long you would make the scan lines 2 pixels high and 1002 pixels wide (1002 to be safe..) in a seperate file, then do the transparency thing then select all, define as pattern, and on the other image fill with pattern, I think.... Haven't used photoshop in like a month since my computer keeps crashing.
Thread: Trailing combat camera | Forum: Photoshop
Oh they are easy to do.... Just make an image like 1X1 pixel high (Or however tall you want the scan lines) and the length of the picture your going to put them on, and make the bottom pixel length transparent and then use the fill with pattern option in PS and play with the layers... Well I probably didn't explain it very well, but thier are many tutorials on how to do it, all are almost exactly alike... Try www.designsbymark.com or err I would say www.screamdesigns.com but they charge now. Pretty easy tutorial to find though.
