Thread: When to magnetize clothes to V4 and when not to bother? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Magnetizing won't affect the clothing until you bend the joints the magnets are designed to affect ... if that helps as well :)
Thread: When to magnetize clothes to V4 and when not to bother? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
V4 isn't hard to use. She's simple. As Richard points out above, the hidden magnets are just another way of doing JCM's like the gen3 figures have.
Loading a 'Magnetize' pose allows the magnets to be added to the clothing. Nothing you buy should have poke through if you are using limits when posing. If you are getting poke through, use the Magnetize pose and this should correct the issue. If it doesn't, I'd check to make sure you are loading the clothing correctly and following any instructions by the creator.
To answer the original question ...
If you have one V4, you use the first 'pose' file to magnetize and clothing you load onto that one V4. If you load a second V4, you use the second 'pose' file to magnetize the clothing, etc.
If it;s got no poke through you are worried about, don't bother magnetizing :)

Well, I'm not exactly which store/s it'll be going to yet rolls eyes The beta testing is in progress so after that I'll see if Daz want it - if they don't it'll be Shop Wicked and Poser Pros for sure :)

I was thinking about doing that :) It's just such a pain trying to find the time to learn new software.

The magnets on V4 act like JCM's on V3, but work better. Magnetising them to each piece of clothing makes the clothing work better as well (in 99.9% of cases).
To make Poser work correctly, you should load V4, make sure she is selected, then load a piece of clothing and use magnetise (the first magnetise that has no numbers). Re-select V4, then load another piece of clothing and magnetise using the same one as before. Etc, etc.
Always make sure you have V4 selected before you load each piece of clothing, as this makes crosstalk work correctly.

Not necessarily. For someone like me who makes a living modelling, a top-notch mapping program is essential. I use UVLayout and it cost me well over $300 but was worth every cent.
I guess it's all about perspective :)
