Thread: Haaaalp! Just got Poser 6, worked, got SR2, and now crashes on start-up | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I might have found the problem. I think I narrowed it down to the fact I overloaded the Download folder within the content directory. I transferred my content from Poser 4 to this, and it was a ton of stuff, including stuff that was still compressed, templates, etc etc etc.
Clearing this folder out, and it works.Â

Well, so far it hasn't worked. I uninstalled QT restarted, and same thing. Also tried tweaking down the hardware acceleration, again, no luck.
Would it do any good to try reninstalling Poser 6 and the SR2?
I am running out of ideas.

By the way, does this mean I won't be able to export animations from Poser 6 as a Quicktime?

I will try uninstalling quicktime. That's annoying because I use it a fair amount to be sure.
But if it works, I will give it a shot.
Thread: Been away for awhile have a few QUESTIONS | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for the info.
But can I apply Poses from P4 to figures in P6? Does everything that works in P4 work in P6?Â
What do you think of Daz Studio? Is it something that can replace Poser, or should it be used along with it, or...???

so in other words Daz's Mimic will work with Poser 6 then too, right? since it essential creates animated poses.

I know what you are saying, but because this will be a very specific, copyrighted character, it has to be pretty close to exact.
Thread: Emal and File Storage at Renderosity | Forum: Community Center
Oh not to mention for a year, Renderosity is actually $20 more (granted with 50 extra MB of storage, but less of the other features).

Um, yeah, but .mac offers an intergrated mail, storage, and other features. Not to mention it's offerred by Apple, not a smaller operator. I guess I've come to expect smaller operators to charge less than the big boys.
Thread: Virtual vs. Real - CGI & live actors filmm short now available... | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Well, it's about a live action actress named Sara going to a final callback for movie role, and is surprised to find that her competition is a "virtual" person, named Taylor. It's aboout 10 minutes long, and involves Sara & Taylor competing with each other. The CD includes the short and media used in the preperation and creation of the film short, such as textures, storyboards, script, etc.
Thread: WalkDesigner and high heels problem!!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Actually you can just bend the foot to the appropriate angle in the first frame of the animation (usually around 45 degrees I think). Then remove all keyframes for the foot bend for the rest of the animation so it stays at that angle. (Also remember to adjust the figures position relative to the ground if that is important for your animation). It works pretty good, and I have used this trick. If you think about it, a woman doesn't really bend her foot much while in high heels, hence the reason why it is such an easy fix.
