I use exe book for about a year now. I like it and I sell about 8-10 books a month. I like it because it has options that keep people from passing it to other computers for free. The pages turn just like a book. you can design your own cover. there are some drawbacks like lack of support. But, I never needed any with this book. If you listen to people that say they won't load programs into thier computers. you will never sell a book. And besides, if you have a following, they will come to buy from you. Viruses? give me a break. Who in their right mind would sell an E-book with a virus. Might as well say don't download anything from anyone, anywhere. other than that there are slide show programs that work just as well, with features built in to not let your work be passes from one computer to another for free.

Just thinking out loud. Humans are the only species on the planet that wears clothing. If humans did not ever wear clothing, would there still be a such thing as Porn?

I was in New Orleans for a week once and My first bit of advice is change your characters skin color. Secondly; if her father is a policeman then he is , or knows police that are taking payoffs from neighborhood gangs. Police will do very little because they have families to protect. Here in the US it is mandatory that a policeman live in the town where his job is located. Although, some friends of mine do rent a place and acually live elsewhere.

Thread: Winning Writers - free newsletter for upcoming contests | Forum: Writers
Thank You, I had no idea these contests were available. I can see a few places where My traditional styles will be accepted. IT is hard to find contests that even recognize a metered line. Let alone male and female ending sylables. Well, now I'm rambling, anyway Thank you for the great info.

Thread: Short Story Writing Contest for the Heinlein Centennial - Deadline: 2/15/07 | Forum: Writers
I did not know people still read Heinlein. I own a copy of everything he ever wrote. My favorite is "Glory Road". That has got to be the best one he ever wrote. Most people will say Stranger in a strange land, is he best. But, my opinion, Glory road, has more suspense.

Hey ,What happen to artistic talent? for $2500 I would do it with a pocket knife and some sandpaper. Or if you want larger size you can get out the chainsaw and then use a pocket knife. ( throws his hands up and walks away mumbling, Kids today amaze me)

Advise to writers of poems that do want to write better poetry. Number one rule of poems.
A good poem should be metered. Meter= rhythm: the measured arangement, in a line of verse, of groups of syllables having a time unit and a regular beat. Types of meters; iamb, dactle, trochee, spondee, anapest. Any dictionary will explain them. I hope this helps someone as it made a world of difference to me many, many, many years ago

Ok, here is my newest poem. I was inspired by a pic that densa did called "Endless nights"
**Midnight hours
**
Our midnight hours will be so special.
You will come quiet to me in the night.
These are day dreams of hours so celestial.
When your soft kiss will say the time is right.
I’ll feel the essence of your bodies soul,
And watch extacy glow upon your face.
These are day dreams I await to unfold.
Just waiting to be held by your embrace.
You delve the depths of my womanly ways,
With the length and strength of your manly charm.
We wrestle with passions pent up for days,
Waiting to be held in each others arms.
**So, come tonight, and make my dreams come true.
The door is open, I wait just for you.
So any comments?**

Thread: How easily influenced are you? | Forum: Writers
I can not conceantrate on my writing if there is a distraction in the background. But, then Some pictures or songs will all of a sudden combine with my thoughts and inspire me. That could be concidered the same thing as influenced, I guess. Oh Well, I know I am not crazy. I just write what the voices, I mean to say my muse tells me to write.LOL
Thread: Very Short Story Challenge | Forum: Writers
You know I always wanted to date Hemingway daughter Muriel. That is not relevant. Just my first thought.
What should I reply to this? Challenge brings on thoughts of bliss.
Yet, within myself I have fought.. To bring about the perfect thought.
My reply to this shall be:
Oh, wait, I think I got it.. No, That just was not it. A story in only six words. This is harder than I thought. Ok, This is my reply to your challenge.
I struggled with a storm within.
