Hmmm....do I, or don't I....that seems to be the question. As one of those 'early user' people because of my ADHD and need to play with new stuff and see how it breaks, I'm still a bit cautious because I don't understand half of what's going on already. Guess I'll have to grit my teeth after the DSL resets in a week and download it to a separate iteration.

Well said, Shante! Around here (NE Oklahoma) we see our Elders dying alone and all their memories and cultural possessions vanishing with them. As these Elders leave us, they leave a cultural gap that would fill much of the information sought by modelers.

I agree about scanning, however. Our local University (just retired from there) has a single, large bed scanner but it is so old that they use it more for storage than actual scanning. What needs to be done is for someone, somewhere, with far deeper pockets than we have, to pull together donations and collections, do the full scale scans with an established overlay grid, and make that data available to the public.

The first one looks more Asian than Cherokee. I see the Cherokee every day when I wake up.

The headband quite often depends on the function it is designed for. Cradleboard headbands can depend on tribe or band. I always instructed my students to go to the Smithsonian Native American archive and the other online resources they have available. Most of the time they can tell you exactly what you are looking for if they have the time. It's also an outstanding resource in general for any Native, Meso, Mississippian, and Mound cultures.

The ones from the middle east also depend on the task on hand, but you could probably find more information down that avenue. You could also find the correct terms for the bits and bobbs that go with the slings.

Let me know what you find out, please, so I can add the info to my own research.

I still can't use the majority of Poser 10. The product is quickly approaching the point where the average hobbyist will no longer be able to use it, and there goes the market. Perhaps a disclaimer that not everyone "needs" this advanced product if they just want to putter and make nice pictures? Some of us don't have enough time left to learn all this new and spiffy stuff.

I wonder if part of the problem is the lack of support from the big three content providers in making the market more open to independent developers. I've seen a large amount of very good materials for the male characters, but at smaller sites with no publicity budget. By shoving the small business person/developer into the outer shadows it tends to destroy that market because, and this is speaking as someone who can't make this stuff, they just don't want the competition.

Alas, if only there were a website for these independent content producers where they could get decent coverage for their creations! Not knowing they are out there, and what their inventory consists of, makes it very difficult for these folks.

Is this one of those things that lets you create a set of stock scenes, much like movie backlots, if you intend to use them on a regular basis? This would save an incredible amount of time if it were.

I'd be thrilled if someone would provide an  actual tutorial of any of Dreamlights tutorials!  The person doing the "tutorial" assumes the viewer already knows the program as well as he does, and between his "crash and burn" methodology and lack of direction, I've found his tutorials all but gibberish.

WONDERFUL!  Something I can mostly understand.  

The "you can't do that" crowd are the IT and computer repair shops in my area.  It's got me wondering if they just want to sell another Windows 7 license before they go toes up.  Are you given a choice of which flavor to install on 10?  After reading through your data, I don't see that I need 10 Pro.  If I could select, one would think that I could have the 10 Home on both and be done with it so I can move the HD and RAM.  Of course, as I understand it, it can't be that easy...it'll need to go to the shop for BIOS adjustment, but again, I fear it's just the shop keepers trying to get a few extra dollars out of the deal.
