I guess it depends on how deperate you are to see the latest render of Vicki 3 wearing the latest Hot Item...or not wearing the latest anything. Renderosity speeds up and slows down, and while waiting in between cycles, there are plenty of other similar sites out there.

I get the site slowness thing all the time, obviously, but in the past month I haven't seen a single SQL error. For me, it always manages to connect eventually, unless I just give up first. But, I agree; in spite of the few complaints I've made, I rate this site highly and think that the people running it do a great job for the most part. In The Spotlight, Tim alluded to the possibility of going BBphp. Personally, I'd rather regularly have to wait, if that's the best that Bondware can do, rather than see this place become just another-in-a-million bulletin boards.

Yeah, I know. I meant for comparison. I typed in the command "renderositypageload.time" and the voice from Windows Narrator just started laughing at me.

I absolutely DETEST Flash banners as a general rule, because usually their just ALL OVER the damn place, flashing, flashing, screaming CLICK ME! no...Click ME!... But here, I can tolerate them. They aren't very obtrusive most of the time.

Well, I still disagree about V3 being shapeless or "lacking character", but it occurred to me through reading this that it's likely you see the V3 character differently, since you look at such things with the intent of altering. I guess like the way a sculpter looks at a chunk of clay; I might see a perfectly nice rock, whereas he sees a shapeless clump waiting to be made into something. Peace.

That explains alot, Dale. Thank you. I remember now, occasional times using Vue 4, (before I went with the idea of having all textures on one partiton)importing .pz3 files and seeing a wrong texture somehow applied. I just chalked it up to some kind of miscommunication between the apps, or figured I screwed up somewhere. ;)

Maybe I should just try the demo. I don't even know if there is one though, and if so, if t will import .pz3 files. Doesn't really matter anyway, I guess, because when I upgrade to Lightwave 9 in (hopefully) a few weeks, I'll be getting V5 Infinite as part of the e-on/Newtek deal anyway. I guess then I can just see for myself. :)

OK, so in other words, yes, Vue still needs to have the textures in some "runtime" somewhere, and, for example, although all my Poser textures are on my Textures(T:) Drive, and the word "runtime" appears absolutely nowhere there, then Vue will not be able to load them? Please forgive me if I misunderstood your answer. :)

That "Wink" looks cool, but it only does Flash, I guess. At least from a cursory read of the website, that's what it seems to be saying. Which is fine, but one of the video tuts I wanted to do involved how to install the latest Flash player...for a few of my completely PC-Inept relatives. ;) Camtasia, however looks like exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. :)
