Thread: Protecting your comercial products? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have seen our products on P2P, considering the modest number sold thats pretty amazing, am I peeved? yea.But would that person have bought it if they didnt get it free? probably not. At least one person had the decency to give credit to us on there post with there stolen goods LOL.
So if you catch the person, wot are you going to do about it?
When the product value is $20 do you think the authorities want to know about it?
Live with it is my advice and be flattered that someone thought your stuff was good enuff to steal.
For every protection device you think of there are 10 people waiting to break it. Just look at poser5 it took wot? a fortnight?

wot if?, wot if?, wot if? Dont count your vultures before they hatch.P5 cost me months wages in my country,if they were to go under, just look at the size of the user base, I'm sure another company would pick it up, my advice .... stop stressing, wot will be will be , deal with it IF it happens. Photo shop7 had a patch out a few months after its realease I dint see a bunch of people getting so excited about the few little probs it adressed and it cost 3 times wot P5 cost. Just relax people, there are much bigger problems in the world right now.

I'm with scottA on this one. Poser4 /pro pack has been rock solid for me, I can get it to bog right down to a snails pace if I load 30 plus charactors/clothing but lock ups or crashes are extremly rare on both 98 and 2k.Guess it comes down to your system. My Poser5 arrives next week till then I have no opinion on it, I dont like the idea of the registration stuff but CL will get the same load of lies I give every company that demands personal details, no big deal.

well as an international Poser user I'm still waiting for it to arrive, looks like CL and I will be come close friends as I tend to format my drives at least once a year, now thats assuming I can access there site or indeed the net as my connection is dodgy at the best of times.I have no idea wot a dongle is bit if its something that gets installed in my comp, wot do I have to be a tech just to install a program? I have never opened my comp and arent interested in doing so. Wake up CL the warez kitties will crack P5 like every other app, dont make it hard for us honest people

as a complete newbie to the world of computers ,let alone 3d, Poser was the first program I taught my self, using the manual and the help files, once I stoped using the buttons and started using the dials it was dead easy.Acouple of years down the track I have a basic understanding of Photoshop and Cinema4 but still cant use Word or any other apps LOL
