Both of the 522 drivers have the issue, so will have to either wait for Nvidia to fix the problem or roll back to the 517 drivers.

The other major difference is how they have changed where the main facial features such as eyes and mouth aren they are no longer under the head sub tab like it has been for years. They are now in the main tab with the eyelashes and tear. Either way it does look good, but may wait a while before jumping onboard.ghosty12 posted at 9:42 PM Wed, 21 September 2022 - #4444990
Lol, Well spotted... Oh and there are a few other differences between this and the Original Genesis figure.Basically Daz have gone back to the old Genesis 1 unified model with Genesis 9.
Here are a few I can think off the top of my head:
PBR material sets
Iray support
Dforce support
HD Morph support
An improved mesh
improved rigging
Asymmetry support
Industry standardisation in various areas
Honestly a unified mesh is a far better pathway to product support for a figure. The original Genesis had a number of issues in this area primarily around creating clothing that supported both shapes, but there were a few others too. The idea was solid back in 2011, it just had some technical limitations with the application of the idea to that figure. Hopefully Genesis 9 will resolve these issues giving end users a better experience with the unified mesh than the original Genesis figure delivered in 2011.ย

Found a solution, open the delete button in a new window and than refresh your cart.
Thank you for the info it certainly helped with moving things back to wishlist.. But with what is going on at the moment, it has me a bit concerned that what happened to Renderosity a few years back is not happening again.. Even finding the forums to be acting up as well.. :(

I am having a similar issue with putting items from cart back to wish list with an error popping up.. I have also found that my NoScript browser addon does not like Renderosity now, as it has flagged a script and font and so on as being a bit dubious.. And as such has red flagged the site because of this, strange thing is Renderosity was fine a couple days before..

Having GPU acceleration for simulations is a great idea, I'm surprised it is not mentioned more.
(I just posted in the benchmark thread over at DAZ asking for other peoples times.)
Yeah I think that is one of the better things about it, but have found that simming can take a while depending on the item that is being simmed.. Had done a skirt on a figure that took 30 minutes to simulate have to find a way of speeding it up..

@Biscuits, I did not mean to imply that Dforce could not use any .obj mesh.
I was merely commenting that most Daz users will likely prefer to have commercial clothing already weight mapped for optimal draping of certain areas of the clothing.
Optitex Clothing can be modulated with simple strategic assignment of material zones. Those plastic bowls in the image I posted earlier above. are a single mesh with three material zones I applied to the bowls simply by dropping a different material onto them in maxon C4D there are no UV's or Weightmaps.
Note how I was able to get them to Collapse to varying degrees ,in a single simulation, with their rigidity, thickness,X,Yor Z stretch resistance, sheer resistance &weight being set based only based on their material assignment.
Dforce is a great and much needed addition to Daz studio particularly in the area of below knee length dresses& Robes and the "shrink wrap" effect around breasts and other body parts.
However I am at a bit of a loss as to why the graphics hardware requirement are So much higher than Optitex when you really have no true real time draping and pulling as you do with systems Like VWD or Marvelous
The image I posted above was simulated in 3-4 minutes with optitex on my gateway travel laptop:1.3GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core SU4100 CPU along with Intelโs GMA4500MHD graphics, 4GB DDR2 RAM.
This animation was done on the same laptop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kg4NLVxQCuo
Many users over at the Daz forums, are having to update Drivers and OpenCL just to run the Dforce simulations
So make sure you check for you hardware compatability before getting started with Dforce.
The problem with Optitex is that you have to have specially made clothing for it, and the software needed to make the clothing can be expensive.. dForce on the other hand comes free with Daz Studio and can use of a fair chunk of currently available conforming clothing and make it dynamic.. It is actually quite brilliant it what it can do, and the more work that is put into dForce the better for all..
Now whether the software needed to make dForce specific clothing is expensive I have no idea but the fact that you don't really need it is another thing entirely.. I suppose the only one caveat of dForce it that it can take a fair chunk of time for a simple simulation to finish on a standard item of clothing though that could be down to the video card since from what I understand dforce uses it somehow..

About the most impressive part of G8 is as has been said in this thread, is the all new Powerpose under G8 when you select the head you get a more comprehensive face pose setup it actually makes, making facial expressions so much better.. You can even morph the face to weird levels..

I'm just saying no. I wanted upgrades to autofit but the upgrades are not enough to send me running to V8. I'll wait til V9 is out before I look at V8 if they insist on a two year then burn model upgrade cycle. I'm sad G3F is being cut off after two years and this is the end of the line as far as new Daz content for her. But I am going to continue to work with G3F and lower models. I love textures and shaders and all the cheap old items I have picked up. Since I have yet to make a dime off my art and it is a hobby, I can pass on V8 easily enough.
Yeah this has been my issue as well, in my case it was when Genesis 3 came out I was and still am using Genesis 2 but the new content started drying up as everyone went to Genesis 3.. Now thee same will happen with Genesis 3 content will start drying up as everyone moves to Genesis 8, and like Genesis 2 and Genesis 1, Genesis 3 will be left in the dumpster so to speak..

Well considering that if you do not have a physical copy of Photoshop, you are stuck with Photoshop CC where you pay either a monthly, yearly or as you need it sub to use their software and well a lot of other companies are heading in the same direction with their software.. So in some respect the Daz thing could be a lot worse, I remember when you had to pay I think it was $450 or $500 for Daz Studio Pro and Advanced.. Also with the licensing costs that Daz have to pay for 3Delight which is by looking at the 3Delight website is not cheap, and who knows how much they are having to fork out to Nvidia for the use of Iray makes you wonder..
I was a bit taken aback by these changes at first but after thinking about it good and properly I can understand totally now for this move by Daz.. I am a hobby artist who has done some work for a small website and have found some of the premium content from that website being posted where it should not have been.. And well it is quite infuriating when you see your own work being stolen by others because there goes your bread and butter so to speak being made free for everyone.. I know that there is no real way to stop piracy but you would like to be able to slow it down just a bit..
So in the end the only way they can recoup the costs of Studio is from the content they sell and well the problem is that currently there is so much stolen Daz content out there I am surprised it took them this long to do what they have done.. And don't think that Daz are the only ones losing their content to pirates there is probably a ton of Renderosity, RDNA and Renderotica content floating around out there in the DarkWeb..

The one thing that is good to know now is that they are also going to allow the download of encrypted product package files along with the authorization file unique to the purchaser to allow offline installation.. :D
