ghosty12 posted at 10:03 AM Thu, 10 October 2024 - #4490157Not sure why that would be, I do know that at the time it was a right pain and then magically it was fixed and I could unsub. There should now be an option button under the base membership section of your membership management screen from where you can cancel your sub, was not there before but is working now as have cancelled my sub. The funny thing Daz just gave thirteen freebies to Daz+ and Premier users, my guess is to placate folks
I think the interesting thing in all of this is how many folks after the initial shock of it all, quite a few have signed on to the Premier sub.
Deleted all DAZ cookies, restarted the OS, still no cancel button.

From what I can gather and it is not much, so long as the person keeps their Premier sub going they keep all the benefits. Once the sub expires from what I can gather you lose all that enhanced functionality that is locked behind the Premier sub, as well as access to the Premier tier free content.

Yeah seems that Daz are doing an Adobe sort of thing. Where to get the better version of the program, you have to pay monthly for it. And can say in all the rumblings at the moment seem to be getting more and more.

Well Daz have just dropped a big bombshell over on their site. They just changed their entire sub structure, there is now Daz Base (which is free), Daz+ and Daz Premier. They have gone back to having two versions of Daz Studio, there will be Daz Studio free, and Daz Studio Premier an enhanced version only available via the Daz Premier subscription.
Also forgot it seems that there will be Premier sub 3D content, that by the sounds of it if you let your sub you lose access to that content as well.
And going by some of the comments on Daz's forums some are none to happy more so the changes in the subscription structure.

Both of the 522 drivers have the issue, so will have to either wait for Nvidia to fix the problem or roll back to the 517 drivers.

Thread: Genesis 9 announcement! | Forum: DAZ|Studio
The other major difference is how they have changed where the main facial features such as eyes and mouth aren they are no longer under the head sub tab like it has been for years. They are now in the main tab with the eyelashes and tear. Either way it does look good, but may wait a while before jumping onboard.ghosty12 posted at 9:42 PM Wed, 21 September 2022 - #4444990
Lol, Well spotted... Oh and there are a few other differences between this and the Original Genesis figure.Basically Daz have gone back to the old Genesis 1 unified model with Genesis 9.
Here are a few I can think off the top of my head:
PBR material sets
Iray support
Dforce support
HD Morph support
An improved mesh
improved rigging
Asymmetry support
Industry standardisation in various areas
Honestly a unified mesh is a far better pathway to product support for a figure. The original Genesis had a number of issues in this area primarily around creating clothing that supported both shapes, but there were a few others too. The idea was solid back in 2011, it just had some technical limitations with the application of the idea to that figure. Hopefully Genesis 9 will resolve these issues giving end users a better experience with the unified mesh than the original Genesis figure delivered in 2011.Â

Found a solution, open the delete button in a new window and than refresh your cart.
Thank you for the info it certainly helped with moving things back to wishlist.. But with what is going on at the moment, it has me a bit concerned that what happened to Renderosity a few years back is not happening again.. Even finding the forums to be acting up as well.. :(

Thread: Can not delete items from my cart | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
I am having a similar issue with putting items from cart back to wish list with an error popping up.. I have also found that my NoScript browser addon does not like Renderosity now, as it has flagged a script and font and so on as being a bit dubious.. And as such has red flagged the site because of this, strange thing is Renderosity was fine a couple days before..

For me anything with the non-commercial tag I avoid like the plague, since most of my renders are for commercial use in comics..

Having GPU acceleration for simulations is a great idea, I'm surprised it is not mentioned more.
(I just posted in the benchmark thread over at DAZ asking for other peoples times.)
Yeah I think that is one of the better things about it, but have found that simming can take a while depending on the item that is being simmed.. Had done a skirt on a figure that took 30 minutes to simulate have to find a way of speeding it up..
