It is always both a surprise and an honour to find that a photo that I took has been included in the gallery ..... a gallery that is comprised of the works of far more accomplished photographers than I and selected by individuals whose talents and dedication to the art of photography are immense.

Thank you for lifting my spirits and planting a huge smile on my face ....that I just know will rub off on others I meet in my daily adventures...making us all winners.

My daughter has a 124 and it takes superb pictures. I looked around on the web at the time she bought it and found several pro's who liked it more than their Hasselblads....one went as far as to say that if it wasn't for the fact that she knew which pictures she shot with which film she couldn't tell the difference between the quality of the images. So congratulations...excellent choice of camera!

I like your choice of subject. The curved building provides so many levels of light, especially with it's texture. Super shot!

I realize the excerise was to try and capture the candles in their natural state in the best possible way, but I have to say that your first image is really very, very well done. I'd put it on my wall for sure.

Yes it seems that the images on the website are hit and miss when it comes to the clarity. Locally here in the Vancouver area they are very good....in fact last night we were having fun checking out all the places we go or like to go and we could actually see my daughter's car parked where she always parks it outside her place of work!!! Unfortunately we can't download the images. I tried to download an image of the pub and beach at Pacific City Oregon because I planned to post a panoramic picture of that area and it would have been interesting to see from above the POV I took the image from. I've found it helpful in determining routes to take to get to a possible photo location that I imagined would be a good POV but previously had no idea how to get to in order to take the shot.

Doug:.....it's just a few yards off the main street that runs through Ft. Langley... just before you cross the RR tracks to pass the Fort Pub and head over the bridge to the ferry. Look for Wendel's Books and cafe on the corner and it's right there. I would love to see this area captured through your eyes.

It was an old Train Depot...now a museum. The railway was moved a few feet to the right and no longer carries passenger trains...strictly freight and they thunder through this old historic town.....something I hope to capture at night also. I heard a horn last night and waited but must have been on the other side of the river. Canadian National runs along this south side ( this is an old CN Depot)...it's the Government affiliated line....and Canadian Pacific ( privateer) runs along the north side. CP was always considered the better of the two in passenger service. We came across Canada on the CP train "The Canadian" back in '59..took three days....a far cry from the train trips we took regularly in England. I ended up working for Canadian Pacific, but in the Airline division..my first full-time job. ..in an office...made my parents proud....me?..I would rather have been designing automobiles in Detroit. Ice can be arranged... Andreas said he would bring a truck load as he more than enough at home....... ;-)

Well the enthusiasm is catching...this shot was one of 42 that I took within 30 minutes last night on our way home from the ferry...so don't you dare ease up..I was only kidding in that previous comment. Thanks for all your comments, everyone

www.maps.Google.com I'm a map nut so the GPS idea rocks AFAIC. And the satellite images are fairly recent as it shows an improvement on my home that we had done late last Fall.

That Chevy commercial comes to mind..."Like a rock"....steady hand there ! excellent.
