Probably when Computer Arts went to press Daz was saying that Studio would be available in April. Magazines aren't websites - there is a long lead time.

With a self-extracting exe (Under Windows anyway) you can right click on it and open it in Winzip just like a zip file.
Thread: To the Poser Community, the Curious Lab Fans (re - security System issue) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I am confused about something in this great debate. How can both these arguments be simultaneously true - 1. Software protection schemes for Poser will always be cracked and may have already been cracked. 2. We need to be protected from the software protection scheme in the event that CL closes. I am a complete legal software purist and have no illegal software on any of my computers. However, IF CL goes bankrupt and IF Poser 5 is the best software available for my needs and IF I upgrade my computer and can't register it THEN I would consider using a cracked version. In the meantime, I will quite happily use my legal copy.

Thread: **** NOTICE **** geep's "Scale" prop sizes are NOT CORRECT!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Dr Geep- Well, I could wait for you to do them or just make them myself. After hours of work I still wouldn't have them finished. And mine wouldn't be scaled right either. Well, if you put a gun to my head, I guess I can wait. So yes I'm still interested. Definitely. John
Thread: What Is Your DREAM Computer for Poser Renders/Animations? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

I'm currently lookung into the Shuttle SS51G box. I'm going to put in a pretty fast Pentium IV in it and fill it up with RAM. Total cost is going to be around $1,200 US and it takes up very little space. Then in a few years I'll do the same thing with whatever hardware is current and do network rendering (at least Bryce supports it now).Thread: Guess who? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thread: Where can I find Metacreations Dance Studio to use with Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I just bought it off EBay and was suprised that I had to install it on my old Windows 95 laptop. I think it'll work on 98 and possibly ME but it specifically fails on NT or any NT descendants.

April- Where can I get the original spiral curls? I searched the marketplace and I couldn't find them- just the new add-ons. John
Thread: Tell me there is QUICKTIME support in P5 ... please! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Little Dragon- I recently did a Poser animation where I set the background to green and the shadows to green and did a greenscreen into AE. I knew there had to be a better way and tonight you shared it. Thank you.
Thread: Bryce Animations | Forum: Bryce
I made a simple animation - one mountain, one ground plane, one moving cloud layer. The animation ran for 10 seconds and took over 24 hours running on two 866 MHz computers. It looks really good (considering my ability) and it was worth the time. Pixar has nothing on me for rendering time when it comes to Bryce.

My thought was that Daz intends on being in this business for awhile. That would be a nasty trick and would have the whole community annoyed at them. So I bought it last night.
