Hi all I also have a problem with poser 12 not recognizing my video card . Mine is a rx 6800 and I thought Poser 12 should see it now that it supports amd cards unless I read that wrong .
Thread: Vue 8 display problems | Forum: Vue
Thanks
I don't know why I never noticed but some of the interface windows are sort of cut off in vue on my dektop . It cuts off on the display options right through the middle of the background color box .
Thread: Still don't like the Unimesh??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I love the image . I bought M3 just to get the Freak free , so far this is my favorite Daz figure . I'll be posting to my gallery shortly , I have an image in the works thats been waiting on the Freak . Hey , now that I think about it , I paid more for M3 to get the Freak free than it would have cost just to buy it . Oh well , you live and learn .
Thread: Resource for good background image of a southern road/highway? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What sort of highway are you looking for ? I live in South Carolina I could take my camera and snap a few pictures for you , just let me know what your looking for .
Thread: Which is better? Detailed models or Detailed Textures? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I must be the lone oddball here . I like lower res stuff , it's probably because I like doing post work . I think that alot of peoples models out there are higher res than they need . After all , do we really need 300 polygons for a flat wall segment when 1 would have done the same thing . I suppose what I'm trying to say is , put the detail where it's needed , not everywhere .
Thread: How much should merchants charge? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
A merchant in the market has really got to impress me to make me spend over $20.00 regardless of quality . I bought your new robot figure a few days ago and I thought it was a very good quality figure at a very good price . I would prefer things to be simpler to save time and keep the cost down . Alot of character makers out there place way to much stuff in thier packages which makes it harder to download and they usually cost more than I want to spend for extra stuff that I probably won't use when all I really want is the texture .
Thread: Stone Man | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well , it's pretty simple . It was done using Photoshop's bevel and emboss layer style , set to down instead of up then I used a hard edged brush to paint the cracks with the layer set on multiply . The texture only uses Two colors , a dark grey as the base and a lighter grey to make the textured part with a brush set to screen so that I could get a lot of variation . The brushes are just Photoshop 7 brush presets with some adjustments to the scatter and spacing .
Thread: P5 Render Setting Preferences: What are yours? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Also , I find that that if you increase your bucket size to about 200 it seems to render faster .
Thread: How Many Regulars in Poser Forum? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I Have been a member for..... well , it's been a while ( back when it was all just the Poser forum ) . I come here everyday but rarely post to any threads unless I have a question or to answer someones question . I work very slow ( maybe an image every three months or so ) so I really don't know when the best time to post one is .
Thread: Poser 5 & Vue 4 - Still Slightly Frustrated | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think it is a problem with Poser 5's .CRZ files . I tried opening a Poser file in Vue with Judy and it didn't work but I tried opening one with Victoria and it worked just fine . Both files were just a figure only saved from Poser 5 . In Poser 5 I believe that one of the python scripts that came with it lets you uncompress the crz files into cr2 files .
Thread: My first try with V3 and Poser5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Now that you mention it Chuck , your right , I forgot the shadows for the hair . Oh well , thats why this one was a practice image . I'm still not satisfied with the way I do hair but I'm getting better . One thing I have to watch is stiffness . You can see it a little on the left side ( your left not hers ) . I paint with solid colors first and then touch it up and smudge it , smudging doesn't always work so well though .
Thread: For those complaining about the galleries. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hey Ratteler! Thanks for the link , now that was funny . I laughed so hard I almost fell out of my chair .

Thread: *sigh* OK, I think I'll retire as a texturer after seeing this.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Also try reducing the shading rate , it seems to blur the textures . Myself , I just set it at zero .
Thread: A tiny tutorial on the morph puty | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Morph putty is the feature that I am most disappointed with . The only thing it appears to be good for is to interactively change the morph target values , sort of like turning the dials on different morph targets to get a character . I was expecting something a little more advanced than the magnets to make morph targets with .
