OK, I must be going senile or something. The obj does in fact export with it's uv's in place.
Exported with layers however, it will only import one layer into Poser, so each layer has to be exported separately and then parented in Poser. Howcome I was using uv-mapper to remap LW exports all the time !?.
Anyhow, every cloud has a silver lining, so thanks very much for the tip on those plugins Gareee! They are fantastic.
Regards
Mike

Thanks for the help guys.
Gareee, those plugins are great, but I'm thinking I'm missing something. I thought that a model lost it's uv's when exported as an obj from LW? I'm still using 7.5d.
OK, I'm starting to go OT here and should ask this in the LW forum.
Thanks again all
Mike

Yeah...
Guess I'll have to upgrade from P4 (!)
Mostly it's the remapping of the obj that puts me off. It's just not up to scratch.
Thanks for the input.

Hi Helgard,
I see your point. I am interested in creating clothing and accessories in all genres although I have several scenes with related props and pieces ready to go. For example I have a shipwreck scene with related diving and underwater equipment I would like to offer as a set.

Mike

I still use P4 so cant comment on the latest. All 3D apps have their own scaling which basically means either importing things from Poser and building things in your app to their scale or re-scaling them. I know its not helpful, but its the best I can do. To rescale exactly, you would need an object of definable size in Poser to measure and calculate in your C4d. All the best Mike

There's no point hastling with the right click. All they have to do is press alt-print screen and the have a screen cap. Bottom line, you can't handle this stuff, don't post your work. Mike

I wouldn't worry. All you can do (unless they're making a buck off of it) is feel sorry for someone who is so unpotentious that they have to pretend someone elses work is their own. It's hardly going to impact on a succesful artist. They're only going to lift the works of someone who is likely to be known at some point if not at the present and will end up being seriously embarassed when that person, and their works are known or when they are unable to produce anything that comes from faking talent. Simple as that. Mike

Get P5, you can have a different runtime for each category or genre. Burn the runtimes to rewritable discs. Saves space and the headaches. Mike

If you were shooting interior shots of a building or from within the privately owned/rented grounds of said property, you would definately have to have what is known as a 'property release' signed, (same thing as a model release) but to shoot it as a part of a general background you do not have a problem. Filming for movies is a different matter as each local authority has quite a bit to gain in licences. Don't worry about stills though. Mike

Thanks and sorry about the sarcasm. I'm sure you all know what it's like. Just when everythings up and running smoothly........... I salute the patience those who managed to figure out what was causing this without writing it off as a bug like I did. Thanks again Mike
