The correct site is www.daz3d.com, there you will find Vicky and all the information you need to buy and download her.
Thread: Vicky2 copyright question...................................................... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just to clarify a little further: Vicky 1 & 2 uses the same obj-file, but different cr2-files. So: if you have Vicky 2, you have the Vicky 1 obj-file, but a cr2 with additional, Vicky 2 specific, morphs. This is the reason why DAZ prohibits distribution of the Vicky 2 cr2. If it is distributed to Vicky 1 owners, they would get a complete Vicky 2 if they got the cr2.
Thread: Poser Import | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I can understand German fairly well, but I'm not good enough to write an answer in German, so excuse me for answering in English. Hope you understand anyway: Textures and clothes are imported in Poser by placing the unzipped files in the appropriate folders. Textures goes in the folder runtimetextures (or a subfolder). The clothes consists of .obj files, wich belongs in an appropriate folder under runtimegeomitries and a .cr2 file, which you place in a folder in runtimelibrariescharacters. If you are a PC user, don't forget the .rsr files that comes with the .obj and .cr2 files, they must be placed in the same folders. When you download textures and clothes, they usually comes in a zipped file. The contributor is very often kind enough to enclose the folder structure in the zip file, so when you unzip the files into you Poser folder, all files will end up in the correct folders automatically. There are some turorials on the Internet about the Poser file structures which will help you to understand which files belongs where. Hope this helps, otherwise I hope there is some German speaking member who can help you further!
Thread: how to create bum files | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
For the people NOT using PP (like me) it might be helpful to know that you can convert jpgs to BUMs in Poser. Just load a simple prop (the cube or something) and apply the jpg as the bump map in the 'materials' settings. Poser will then alert you that this is not a BUM and ask you if you want to convert it now.
Thread: Novice with a skin question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The skin textures that comes with Poser (demo and full version) are not very realistic. You need to get some photo realistic textures. There are some decent free ones available, but the best ones available will cost you. The most recent Daz textures for Vicky are very good, and you can find good ones on this site as well.

Hope you get well soon! You seem to a very positive and optimistic person, and with that attitude the battle against your illness is half won already.
Thread: New character available in Marketplace | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What?? Is he wearing lingerie?? That is too kinky for me! I want a refund promtply! If I only could find the cr2 on my HD, I would delete it immediately. I think that the fact that this character prefers drag should have been stated clearly in the Marketplace in order to avoid confusion.

Thread: MAT Pose/Texture Files? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
MikeJ is correct, DAZ uses MAT files with the new Victoria 2.0 textures. There are different MAT files for different skin tones, eye color, lip color and face with/without makeup. Very handy, you can apply several MAT files to the model in order to combine all theses variations of the texture. This is definately a feature that is here to stay, saves a lot of work.
Thread: New DAZ characters and Poser5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I would not make any commercial sense if DAZ let Curious Labs include their most revenue generating products in Poser 5. They know that most Poser users will buy Mike and/or Vicky anyway and they earn more from high priced, individual sales than from a one-time volume deal with Curious Labs. Consider the fact that the price we pay for Mike + Vicky today is close to the price of Poser 4. How much would Curious Labs be prepared to pay to include the models if they want to keep the price of Poser 5 in the same range as Poser 4? Not enough, I suppose. I have no inside knowledge about this, but it would surprise me if it happened.
Thread: New Eve 4.0 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Eve was available at Morph World (morphs.bbay.com), but the site is temporarily closed. We all hope that Traveler will get the site back online soon.
Thread: Michael and vicky origins?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hope that no real life professional model looks like Vicky does as default when loaded. Then she would need some morph dials in order to make it to the catwalk... Anyway, according to DAZ, the very life-like new textures for Vicky 2.0 are made from photos of a real life model.

Thread: To the hair makers :o) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
An easy way to do it is to choose "Materials" in the Render Menu and set the Transparency Max to 0. That will make the hair prop visible when you pose and morph the hair. Just don't forget to set it back again before you render ;-)
