Fair enough! Thanks for answering the question.
I have been using the Judy & the P4 Nude Man files today. I don't think the lipsync results are good enough to use without some tweaking- but it's pretty good and they are certainly saving me some time.

Quote - Judy Casual Hair is the name of the basic Judy Figure with hair.
The Judy file in Talk Designer Expansion Kit supports all the Judy characters in Poser 5 and higher :)

Thanks Noel.
My impatience trumped my laziness and I went ahead and did the scene the hard way but I still have a few scenes left with this character- so I may buy it and try it.

werewolf fanciers?

I am curious as to why they specify Judy Casual Hair, is it a mistake or is there some technical reason or does Judy's hair really talk ;0)Â
If anyone knows- please post here.
Thread: Using BucketSize in poser python | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
Hmm, lemme try that again....
import poser scene = poser.Scene()
scene.CurrentRenderEngine()
ffo = scene.CurrentFireFlyOptions()
print "Bucket size: " + str( ffo.BucketSize() )
Thank you!!!

OK- let me give some more background.
It's been years since I wrote any new python code, so I'm rusty at this.
I've now got Poser 7 and I can see there are now some Firefly Options Methods, but I can't figure out how to access them.
import poser
print " New Bucket Size " + str( poser.BucketSize() )
import poser
scene = poser.Scene()
print " New Bucket Size " + str( scene.BucketSize() )
So how do I do it?
Thread: Poser 5 to Poser 6 (Why should I upgrade?) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you Little Dragon for taking the time to answer, that's exactly the information I've been looking for.
When Poser 5 came out, Curious Labs allowed us to download the manual as a PDF file, which I read and that persuaded me to buy it. It's a shame e-frontiers haven't done that (at least I can't see it on the poser website) as I like to know what I'm buying.
I guess the reason is to deter people from using pirate copies of Poser 6 although I'd've thought the manual was easier to pirate than the software.

Thread: Problem with camera animations parented to figures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Berserga seems to have it sussed but here's an alternative. Create a simple prop which you position on the chest, parent it and scale it down so that it's effectively invisible. Use this to parent the camera to instead of the figure. Alternatively, you could animate the prop to follow the persons path and delete the figure entirely from your background render.

Jovial- I think I know what you mean. I saved a poser animated scene with animated hair in it and rendered some frames. When I open the file again in a new poser session and render it- it isn't the same although the latter version does remain consistant.
Thread: OT but fun; 2004 as seen in 1954 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Reminds me of Stephen Fry telling a story about Alexander Bell. He apparently said "I hope I'm not being immodest to suggest that one day, I believe, there will be a telephone in every town".

Assuming you've got poser 5, you can attach an avi file to animate the lights. I've done it for a whirling vortex effect and it worked nicely.You can see the effect on the body of the figure in this still from the animation....

Sorry It's taken me a while to get back to this. Had a PC die on me & getting it working again has been eating my time. Thank you both for replying & I'll try following FyreSpiryt's advice tonight.

I'm getting a securiy certificate error every time I connect and the link to my account and my shopping basket don't work. Other than that, it's fine!

Use the animation pallete. Select all the elements you want to loop in frame 250 and set a key frame for them all by hitting the + button. Do the same for frame 500. Select all the elements for 0 - 249 and delete. Select all the elements you want to loop in the range 250 - 500 and you can drag/copy'n'paste them to wherever you like.

You could try using the default one but add the Poser 5 hair. I'm no expert, but I managed it on the wolf's head in this image....This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
