Thanks ya'll.. I got it! The rsr converter did the trick! They are all showing up now. OH, And I will never use DIM for anything Poser related. I am seriously thinking about not using it for anything. I hate DS anyway. I may have to use it for some things tho. I have a friend who uses it all the time and she installs EVERYTHING manually because she hates DIM.

More investigating I found where it should go. The default was sending it to UsersRhondadownloads and it needed to go to C:UsersPublicDocumentsPoser 11 Content.

I can't seem to get the content to install. I've attempted several locations. :-(

Ok, I went to NeoWin and got Poser 11 pro 11.3. Also got 10% off for being new so got it for $72. Yay! Thanks for that. Got my downloads, installed the program and tried to install content. It don't work! I'm not sure where it's going but I can't find it. I used the default install path. It didn't work. So I looked for some files in a diff area based on opening the downloads folder in the content areas location (I right clicked and opened in Explorer). It didn't work. I found some files I knew were there based on right click and open in explorer also.. they were in program files.. So I went in to the appropriate location, copied the path, and tried again... it didn't work. Any Ideas?

Still Working! It says only 5 days left. When you sign up for the site they also send you a coupon for 10% off your first purchase so it ended up being 72.00 even.. yay! They then redirect you (with a link) to Posers website where you paste your Serial # in and it takes you right to the download page. I also wrote my serial # down in my little PW book I keep at the desk.

I'm Back because I'm excited! It took a couple hrs and the render is not really much but am really happy w/ how my machine behaved and the quality of the render. I'm just gonna put it in this thread because it's not a finished image really.

Just doing poser trial. I am a poser returnee from 15 yrs ago. I have been trying Daz Studio. OMG! I f***#×# hate it !!! Everything is more complicated. And it lags, is choppy and has locked up my pc more than once.. Poser is so much easier. And it doesn't take that long to render. I wound up here because I have purchased some big morph packs, hair, and some. Clothes. I want to keep up with the script to take genesis figures into poser. I read 2 pages of this thread and wanted to keep this marked.

I have no clue but have you tried to figure out why she don't come up? I'm still new to DS and have had an awful time finding stuff. G8 icons are in many folders but not all of them will bring up your character. Make sure your screen looks like this. Make sure you are on the Content Library, click on the drop down arrow for Products, and click on the drop down arrow for G. When you double click on the Genesis 8 Basic Female Actor, she should come up. Last night I looked for 10 min for some hair mats because the product is in smart content as the object and content for the mats. Not what you wanted but I hope it helps.

It isn't that hard to upset a moderator over there. Anything that isn't Daz Studio is the best EVAH puts you at risk. Like posting a Cost Benefit analysis of the Genesis figures. (The "iconic" figures aren't actually worth it, if you look at it from a TCO perspective.)

Or pointing out that Bryce, Hexagon, and Carrera are dead products (Haven't gotten bug fixes or documentation upgrades since the release of DS 4.0)

Or if you point out past fubars, like designing a sale around the Swine Flu epidemic, when people were dying by the 100's in Asia.

I got a permaban for pointing out that it was easier for Daz to refund money than fix a problem. This was when I couldn't install content due to OS9 installers no longer working in OSX. And the fact that I never got a working copy of Carrera 6 - Support was promising a fix for the OSX version; after 18 months, they rolled the fix into Carrera 7 and told the OSX users to suck it up.

I haven't done any of this in a long time but killing or allowing good programs to die because they just don't want to bother makes me angry! I was actually thrilled when they bought Bryce (My first ever 3d Program) . But they only updated it a couple of measly times and threw it to the side. The newest Bryce 7 (which is not new at all) is cheap but only 32bit? If they actually updated it to at least 64bit and added some new content I'd gladly pay 4x or more for it! 7 is less than $20.

Actually I found the correct folder . I however watched a video where the guy dragged and dropped into the supposedly correct folders. I looked very carefully and put them in the places I knew for a fact had content in it that shows up but still not working. :-( Someone told me to get a script from here but not sure how to use even if I could find it. So install manager installs the files from here? How do you do that? My install manager won't even recognize files I downloaded from here. Also, It doesn't always install Daz files It downloaded from their site. | Granted the files are older.. more than 12 yrs or more But I use to belong to PC and have tons of products from there and they are their products. Ok everybody.
I am downloading now. I have a 1mbps connection. Normally I get dl speeds from 70-100k or so. It is going between 30-40k about 65% of the time. 30% of the time it is getting down in the 20's or lower. The other 5% it actually go's up over 50. lol. It's showing me at 13% complete of the first 600+ mb file w/ between 4-5hrs to go! What the Heck? Normally I can DL a 500mb file in a little over an hour.

So, unless everyone is still getting it like they were at the start (in the middle of the night, no less), I'd guess that smithmicro's downloader is crap.

I should have ordered the hardcopy. It probablly would have arrived sooner than this DL will!

Thank you very much Jerry! This is indeed much more informative than the main site!  I'm still aggravated a bit that there isn't very many pictures of the content though.
