I've also noticed that my 24" iMac is running about 10 degrees cooler with Snow Leopard, even in the middle of a challenging render. Now, if those missing folders would just show up......

Dunno if they've fixed it yet or not, gents. Looks like a workaround is to rename the DAZ Studio inj files so they match what the pose file is looking for, but Alf says that's not a true fix. Heck, I'm just an end-user, what do I know? DAZ is working on it (he said hopefully)......

Boni, a reall good (and FREE) sharing site is DivShare (www.divshare.com); 5 GB limit; works great for me, with a Macintosh. When your upload's done, a link is automatically generated, and you can enter email addresses of those you wish to notify. Looking forward to it!

Same here; my little old Mac G4 only has a 25 GB hard drive, so I've got Posers 4, 5, and 6 on a La Cie Firewire 120 GB drive (or at least the runtimes for 4 and 5). No problemo whatsoever.

Dear Esther, I think Fringewood's talking about the General Preferences (command-K), where you can set the "launch to preferred state," "use external binary morph targets," etc. It's news to me, but I hate those shruggy guys. I just run all files through Maconverter 1.1.8 as a matter of course (assuming your hot G5 has Classic still available). Very interesting, the snarky tone of this whole thread; you guys should be on Letterman or Bill Maher! There are several hypotheses as to why the fish was chosen. The most probable is that it is a reference to the scripture in which Jesus miraculuously feeds 5000 people with fish and bread (Matthew 14:15-21, Luke 9:12-17, and John 6:4-13). The ichthys also may relate to Jesus as a "fisher of men," or an acronym of the Greek letters ɥɶlt;= (Iota Chi Theta Upsilon Sigma) to the statement of Christian faith "?ɖ?V ɥɜɫɖɗ?V ɶ? lt;=??V ɗ?ɜ" (Ious Christos Theou Huios St: "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior").

Trust me, Poser 6 works great with Tiger; I use it every day on both computers (an older G4 with processor upgrade and a 15" Powerbook), and it rarely disappoints. The SR2 just released is the cat's pajamas. Forget version 5. good luck from texboy

Works great with Mac OS X 10.4.3, and seems more compatible with Vue. Go for it!

Just turn off IK on the figure's legs; scared the bejeezus out of me, too, but that's the fix.

Poser 6 SR2 works great with OS X 10.4.3; seems to be more stable, renders faster, and is more compatible with Vue 5 Infinite. So far, so good! regards from texboy Texas Number One!

You can just copy (or transfer, if on the same drive) the .pz2 and .png files (Pose folder example) without running them through MacConverter (Poser 6 only). RSR files can go in the trash without a second thought. Same goes for other content. If still using Poser 4 or 5, MacConverter works fine in Classic. Another good reason to upgrade to Poser 6!

Ain't it the truth! I hope Apple enjoys all the crash logs I send them. Worth it, though, not having to deal with a Windoze box. Rock on, Mac users!
