incredible as it might look, i dont see the problem @ all.
It would be timeconsuming, but thats all + it would cost you money to aquire the proper area data, but if you can afford it, or if you´re lucky enough to live in a place where they provide free high quality data then doing something like this is simple enough.
You´ll need some flash magic for the interface of course but that´s not a biggy either and as far as vue goes, i would say that vue is a perfect candidate for a job like this.
Thread: OT (almost) - Your experiences of Vue under Vista | Forum: Vue
Well vista works much better now as oposed to when it was launched and if you remember to give vue admin rights there´s zero issues with vue and vista compared to vue and xp.
Atleast none that i have found, so anyway, xp and vista works the same as far as vue goes with the exception of having to run vue in admin mode and the usual warnings starting vue and installing vue content, but you can as have been mentioned turn off those.

mm rendering to image seequences is a must when it comes to animation for a multitude of reasons, gives you alot more control over postwork amongst others and makes it dead drop easy to redo a specifiq frame in your animation.

a pity that you cant export your characters and dynamic hair from c6pro to vue if it would have been possible i would have replaced poser in a heartbeat with c6pro and happily continued onward with vue as the main app and c6pro as my poser app, as it is it´s a no sale for me, which is a letdown since the hair editor realy looks alot, lot better then posers dynamic hair dito.
Thread: OT: Carrara 6 | Forum: Vue
a far more interesting question is if c6pro can export it´s dynamic hair to vue6i.
If so it might be a nice replacement to poser in the "holy" poser-vue combination, i dont see c6pro being able to replace vue but kicking poser out the door might be possible tho, depends on how well c6pro can export to vue.
Thread: vue network render and ps3 | Forum: Vue
the idea is actually not as far off as one might think.
due to the success of folding@home and the ps3 sony is looking into delivering the same type of solution to commercial applications and companies.
Now, granted e.on´s a small company so i bet it wont be the first one sony has in mind, but with the right tools and support of course our ps3´s will sooner or later find it´s way into design and media related stuff for it´s distributed computing powers, and a renderfarm for sure makes sense, pity tho i recon we´ll have to be patient like .ell to see it happening with vue.
Thread: Final Verdict Vue 6? | Forum: Vue
im with everyone else here, it´s already far better then v5i and i could never go back, however my final verdict will have to wait ´til the app is released for real but even in it´s pre release shape it´s much better then v5i.

well i agree that every vue version should ship with even more plants then the previous one, but i dont agree that c3d doesnt have alot of solidgrowth plants (xfrog plants aswell btw).
linda has been churning out alot of high quality plants and they are all available on c3d and the in house team has released quite a few aswell, the one thing that is lacking tho in vue land is flowers and especialy indoor flowers.
so a small q is if you´ve made sure to check out the plant subsections aswell over @ c3d, if not make sure to do that since there´s quite a few more plants listed there then the 20 thats listed in the main plant section.

Thread: I am NOT getting Poser 7, hope that will be okay for vue 6! | Forum: Vue
as far as i can see v6 likes p5 aswell as p6, so no need at all to pick up p7 unless they realy do come up with something stellar.

i feel for ya man, it´s always sad when something critical goes out the window when the deadline´s just around the corner, but it´s part of the job and we need to plan for such things aswell, sad but true shit happens.
anyway, you´ll bounce back and deliver a kickass job for your client :)
