follow the link to cl. in " support" under " poser 5 FAQ " you will find help. But that error should be fixed with the SR2.1parse or parse'l' xml files are parsed by the application so it might be still an xml file... in yout runtime 'ui' and 'pref' directory are your xml files (poser5) xml is really easy to read, you can view it in your IE browser by double clicking it in your directory. if you click one and it doesnt come up or you get an error, pass it on... it may narrow down your problem a bit because malfomed xml files are down-right unreadable and it may be something simple as simple as an wrong slash. if/when you find an xml file you cant open, rename it to a txt, open in wordpad the copy/post it here. with the file name and i can check it against mine... others might to. good luck

the link will lead you to a message, how to fix the problem with the unpatched p5( does it for me when i got p5 first and no patch was out)Attached Link: http://www.ronknights.com/poser5/errors/parse.htm
i had that problem, and it was the libraryprefs.xml file...apparantly if you have any folders with an & sign, it cannot process the information. you can open the .xml file in notepad without renaming it, just open notepad and drag the file onto it, it will open it (xml is similar to html) do a find word and search for the & sign... this website helped explain it better than i can :-) http://www.ronknights.com/poser5/errors/parse.htmThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. I try to open Poser and i get the following pop up message - XML Error --> Parse Error - not well formed at line 8. I press ok since there's no other choice, and the following pop up appears - Program Error --> poser.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows, you will have to restart the program. And that happends every time i try to open Poser. So how do i bring it back to life..?????
