Similar to aliasangel I have lost a file! Only one, problem is it was on my desktop and I deleted it in a near sleep state the other night, please please tell me there's hope of recovering this!!! I tried system restore and it didn't come back, is this maybe I didn't go back far enough or does this not work for desktop things?? I was almost done an entire picture with poser went to do the finishing touches and found it was gone. It would have been sent to the recylebin and deleted out of there. I use xp if this helps. :(

Rollback should have worked. Do you remember what the pic was called? Try using the 'Find' facility.. if you don't shread files, it should be easy to recover.

Did you empty the recycle bin? If not, then you can go to the recycle bin and restore the file. A "system restore" is to restore the whole system and not a single file.

I tried find, it's not in my comp anywhere. I did empty the recycle bin :( and I did do a restore. Finnally I tried hp instant support and they said "I am sorry to say once the file has been removed from the Recycle Bin the associated entries are removed from your Hard drive. It is not possible to restore the file now." Oh well not much I can do......back to the drawing board :( "sulking away now"

Attached Link: Undelete FREE trial

Well what HP Instant support tells you isn't completely true. There are undelete programs available. but of course they will only find/salvage the file if nothing has been written to that place on the disk where it is now. Things doesn't just go away from a harddisk when you delete it. Formatting the disk isn't even always enough, if you have access to the right tools, ask FBI ;o) What I'm trying to say is that there's still hope. Perhaps the program at the link can help?

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Thanks for the link, it seems I'm out of luck this time though the program may help prevent similar occurances in the future. So would not playing when my eyes are half closed lol. Thank you very much I do appreciate it!

Heh I made a real boo-boo last night. I had started on a picture, gotten pretty far. Then was away from the computer a little while, found out I was too tired to continue and decided to turn off the computer and go to bed. So I closed Poser (it was minimized) and it asked me if I would save, and I answered NO......... Right after hitting the "no" it occured to me that I was actually in the middle of an UNSAVED picture.... :o( Bleh.... Back to square one for me sigh So I know all about doing silly things whit your eyes half closed L
