I'm against commercial advertising in this forum, but like a lot of people, see nothing wrong with the occasional "look at what I'm working on" pics for commercial works in progress. The threads associated with M3 went a bit overboard, so the mods did what they felt was right. That DAZ cat render was posted once ... it was obviously an unfiniished project, and the context didn't come across like an ad, not to my mind. Besides, there have been many threads in this forum asking about progress on the cat. My point is that I do think there's some room for give-and-take on this issue, it doesn't need to be policed in every case unless things go too far by the mods'/admins' estimation.

I'm glad that godawful troll thread got moved or deleted or whatever. Yucky. :-)

lol I know :) it's just a strange case of double standards we have going on here. It's ok for one set of sexually oriented objects to be plastered everywhere (nipples) but when a penis rears it's head (pun intended) people get all prudish. Now we've mentioned it by name this thread will probably get whisked off to the dark dungeon of despair for all eternity.

Indeed double standards do seem to be alive and well here unfortunately. Its not just that there are seems a huge disparity between nekkid vickys and nekkid mikes but as I pointed out elsewhere violence ia acceptable, seems strange. I'm not particularly having a pop at R'osity, just the the general society we live in.

ryamka, seems you're incorrect about why the 2 specified threads were removed though. One was begun by a troll- the off-topic one pretty much equating sexuality with terrible other things, and the other thread had very funny images of M3's package talking. :D

Hi I saw the thread this morning at work (quick scrolling) but I couldn't help but think why? Don't get me wrong I'm not a prude , or I hope I'm not, and heck I've seen it all (the human body that is) from the outside and the inside. But as I've said before Imho people whether cgi or real tend to look better with some sort of clothes on (it adds to the mystery) and there comes a point when the 'benny hill' humor becomes just gratuitous and childish. Yes ok show the product off if you like but I personally can't see the point of super real genitailia (lower regions) unless you want to make medical drawings. From this you can get that Porn for porn sake doesn't rattle my cage heck I prefer the centerfolds in some mags better when they have something on rather than in gyn/ob positions. this is just my opinion but from the image this morning I say thanks to the mods. The genitals as displayed in CP's photos were not super real, they were merely more realistically poseable than those on M2, which will be a good thing where realism is desired as regards the force of gravity in nude renders. This has nothing to do with porn, to my mind. However, it would be dishonest to pretend that people aren't using Poser to make porn. I truly doubt if that's what DAZ is thinking at all. They're merely making a better Michael, and kudos to them for that. In my opinion the majority of Poser-made porn I've seen at places like 'Rotica is crass, boring, and silly-looking. No aesthetic value, not even any porn value, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't appreciate more realistic male and female meshes in all their natural glory. It is so strange to me that very few people get upset about the two tons of breast morphs and articulated morphing vagina props out there, yet DAZ improves their male mesh slightly in the nether regions, and controversy ensues. Never mind the gentials, I'm excited about Michael 3's ears. Have you seen those ears? Wow! What a HUGE improvement!

Catherina's thread was the funniest thing I've come across in a long long time! LOL Still get a chuckle just thinking about it. When you get depressed because there's been so much arguing lately, it's nice to see a thread that's fun. But then there was arguing about the thread. It's enough to make a person cry.

The sad part is that Cath's message was pretty damn hysterical. The peni (I guess that is the word that was agreed upon) were done in a non-erotic, very humorous manner. There was absolutely nothing sexual about them at all, unless you internalized the sexuality yourself. The "troll" post I question as to whether it was a real troll or not. Playing devil's advocate, the person in question came in here and posted THEIR opinion on something (in a very poorly worded manner, IMO). Their view (very non-politically correct by almost all standards) is a legitimate view, although one that most will not agree with. The ISSUE presented was a valid issue for discussion, the manner in which it was presented was very poor. Unfortunately, the return fire pretty much drowned out any formal/civil discussion. And to be fair, there were incriminations that the person inquestion was acting rather troll-like in a related thread, so they may have truly been a real troll, and not just someone who was/is very niave (um, I don't think that is spelled correctly). - Ray

And for that matter, it seems that every week someone is complaining about excess boobage. Anything remotely reeking of sex is always going to offend someone. Well, I suppose the pretzel might work as an expedient form of birth controlbut I'd give it a miss. I believe someone opined that the "erect" member was actually only "laid back" as it were. I didn't look that closely but the lack of increased lenght/girth relative to the other examples would tend to support that supposition.
