Subject: A few simple animation questions

  1. How do I drop an entire animation to the floor? For example, even though my figure was posed on the floor, and animated there, when I save the animation and reload it later, the figure hovers a little bit off the floor. If I drop the first frame to the floor, then when I hit play the figure slowly rises. Do I have to manually go in and drop every frame to the floor? 2. Is there a way to save just the last few frames of an animation? Can I delete say the first 30 frames in a 40 frame animation and keep the last 10? 3. Also, how do I make the ground visible? If I have a background different from the ground, both still look the same. Also, is there a way to raise the ground UP, that would solve the problem in #1. I've looked in the manual, and I can't find the answer to any of these questions...Any help would be appreciated.

I still work with Poser3, so I don't know if this will be of any use, but here are some suggestions: 1. I'm not too sure about this one, but at most you should only have to hit "drop to Floor" at every key frame. 2. There's a slider called "Play Range" at the bottom of the animation palette that you can use for this. 3. In Poser3 the ground plain is more or less like a prop. You make it visible by ticking it on the guides menu, and you can move it (Y-tran/X-tran/Z-tran) or scale it in your first frame, delete all susequent keyframes for that element and it should stay where you put it. Hope it helps. Berge

1)No universal drop to floor. Read bulk change above. Other work around is to resample keyframes (to make less work) then click next keyframe arrow with one hand, Ctrl D with the other & step thru all the keys one by one. I've been bugging Larry W about adding this feature. 2)In AnimPalette drag arounf all beginning keys & delete. Then drag arounf end keys & copy & paste to the begining. I think also can svae pose over range of frames as well. 3)Uncheck Display/Guides/Ground Plane
