If anyone even cares I still have the Wonder Woman that used to be available at Animotions.com. You see a quickie render above. I like Krys's Boots and Belt better and do hope he releases the set someday.

As for the movie Wall Crawling ability, The hairs looked more like barbed Spikes than hairs in the closeup I saw from the movie. I can see those going through cloth Gloves, but Boot Soles are a different story entirely. They must be really long barbs and he must have to replace the boots and gloves quite often! Imagine the shredding going on!

As for the Images that I missed out on, hell, I'm gay and you guys have me wanting to see the damned Boobies just to find out what the fuss was all about!

There is a type of spider that shoots web out to catch its prey.

I'm enjoying the debate, still hoping Khrys gives us his WW texture, and knowing why they had to go to organic webshooters - Peter Parker was always a struggling guy without a lot of money - if he really invented a cheap textile that can be kept in liquid form, turns into rope capable of supporting the weight of a swinging man, can be spun into webs capable of entangling and capturing super-strong villains, and is made in his apartment from easily available, inexpensive household chemicals, and is even biodegradeable (lest NYC be covered in old Spideywebbing) - don't you think he'd OWN 3M or DuPont?

Rateller: Damn. Knew there was something wrong there, but couldn't quite put my finger on it. So now I have a picture of a homicidal jerk getting his hands webbed over while sitting on the couch. This day just can't get much worse... raven: Thanks for that. As a mild(ish) aracnophobe I thank you from the heart of my bottom :) LonCray: Nah - he realised that any move on his part to market such a cheap and super-useful product wpould get big business on his tail. So he's joined the eilite group of inventors who've come up with stuff "too good to let the public have". Everlasting lightbulbs, liquid paper that doesn't leave your document looking like an unprofessional mess, car tyres that don't wear out, political promises that are kept... Cheers, Cliff

No probs who3d and Ratteler, I saw it on a spider documentary. Now, being an arachnaphobe myself quite why I was watching it is another matter! :)

Top Tip: Nowadays I've MOSTLY learnt that I ramble (no, it's true - don't defend me). My responses are rarely of the one-line quip ilk (as much as I enjoy those when I can limit myself). Renderosity times out - so more and more often I'm getting used to placing a copy of a response in the clipboard (by selecting it all then right-click and select "Copy") before pressing "Post Reply" or (on those rare occasions when I'm paying attention ) "Preview Post". This means I have an instant "press back and paste the message back in" situation.

If this increases the number of long posts on Renderosity, then so be it!

Cheers,

Cliff

I find that Renderosity, or the Poser aftermarket in general, or possibly just the degree of "burn out" goes in cycles. Taking an (unannounced) break from the forums can do the world of good for my attitude. Also while at times the whole drag of "it's porn"/"is it really art"/"how old is that model?"/"Lightwave users look down on me and make me feel bad, but I'm a really talented 3D person!"/"where's that nude dead horse in a temple to beat" type topics can jade one somewhat, the occasional thread DOES get interesting. Quite aside from the attempts of several members to "help out" others (witness Little Dragon, or even our very own (to this thread) Khrys) you occasionally find the additional delight of someone thinking outside the box, however slightly. I was thinking about this after a response to someone else on how little anyone pays attention to what one says unless it's a direct aid to a Poser problem... and I was overly simplistic in my response. MOSTLY you can come up with all the inisght you like and you'll be completely ignored - but every now and then someone DOES go "You know - ya, I wanna think about that a bit" but, better still, sometimes someone else says something that makes you go "Ooh - now that's an interesting thought". It happens - not as much as I'd like, but then I'm atypical of most things, apparently :) Greed is a terrible thing, but Renderosity has had a distinctly mercenary side for some years now - indeed their store may well be the very thing that's making companies like CL and DAZ think that perhaps they could benefit from being "Jacks of all trades" rather than just the "core businesses" that they used to be. The community however, is a combination of everything from the marvelous to the mundane, the straightforward and the political, the earnest and the sarcastic. The old AND the new - a sea of diversity :) Cheers, Cliff Cheers, Cliff

Very true, Cliff. I've also noticed that unless it's got breasts or ass, very few people /care/. And that can be just as disheartening as everything else. We've got these talented, TALENTED 3d artists, and all they make is pin up gear 'cause it's all that sells. :(

Oops, looks like a got a bit tipsey. Too much copying and pasting I guess . Out of interest Khrys, how goes the specularity maps? I'd offer to help out directly but, erm... I don't actually think I own the clothing you're using, so it's be slightly harder to work on than I'd prefer. But I'd be tempted to take the "texture" (pigmentation map) and replace "Gold" with white and everythign else with black, and apply that - I think you'll be surprised at how well it can work. Cheers (just the once this time!) Cliff
