For some reason, some 3ds files import with no problems at all, others import with one or more problems and there are others that refuse to import at all. One thing that might help is to import it into a modeling program, or deep exploration (or even Bryce) and resave it in another format, such as .obj.

Try to use .obj whenever possible--it's the format Poser's most conmfortable with. If you need a converter, try the fre utility PoseRay. It's designed to export Poser scenes to POVRay for rendering but it can convert .3ds to .obj also and the .3ds support seems to be good, certainly better than Poser's."Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance." - H. Hi, Is there a particular way to import a .3ds object into Poser 5? I imported a model which is fine in max, but ended up in 3 pieces when I imported it into Poser (head separated, feet back to front etc.). What am I doing wrong? Thanks. Michelle
