Has any one got any opinions on these photos or about how the way cameras are evolving. I quite like these I think they are a 21st century Diana camera. See link for info about Diana and similar cameras.Eggiwegs! I would like... to smash them!
I'd say they look like the typical crap phone camera pictures...

I've seen worse with real expensive cameras. Least you got decent subject. Sure they pixelate, but if that is all there is at the moment to capture something so be it.. Now on the other hand, I think phone cams are heading in the wrong direction. Seem to be just a tool for nasty voyeurism in a lot of cases, and fast sensationalism.

What is it about camera phones? I've looked closely at a few that people had in the UK and the US (the UK is much further ahead with mobiles, imo), and the quality of the camera's in them to be blunt is absolute crap. My first digital camera (God rest it's soul) was a Fuji 1.3 megapixel - the same resolution as newer camera phones - yet the quality of the images was unbelievably better. My opinion? Camera's on phones are a sometimes useful add-on, but basically a novelty. If you want a small, low quality camera with you all the time, pay the extra and buy a small low quality camera. (",)

LOL @ 3DGUY an honest opinion, quite refreshing Now I had never thought about using my phone cam because I thought they were crap too, until I saw these ones that I taken a few month back and IMHO I think they have a certain charm about them. By using Bicubic Smoother these blow up quite nicely when printed. @ dBgrafix I never thought about voyeurism, if I take a photo say in a cafe of two people talking and they didn't know is that taking it too far. interesting?

Camera phones are geared and marketed to the casual, snapshot masses. For most people, the quality is just fine for what they do...email and share images with family and friends! Not only that, its convenient NOT to have to lug around a seperate camera. I was at a concert and people were snapping away getting shots of Bruce Springsteen...someone near me actually used his Blackberry device to record video of a song! The voyerism thing is a real problem! I believe they were trying to pass a law somewhere that would force camera phones to emit an audible "camera shutter" sound that couldn't be turned off "as a kind of warning" that someone is taking a pic!To me, and I speak for myself, there is no longer privacy anymore......that's how I think about such cams these days.....

Personally I cant stand camera phones, I had real trouble trying to get a decent featured phone that didnt have a camera in it lol. I can see the fun novelty value and thats great if you enjoy it (Im not a killjoy) its just not for me. Voyeurism has always been an issue, the only difference being that now it is mush more easy to intrude on peoples privacy, Im not particularly photogenic, so I'm not over keen on being in front of the camera, but if someone wishes to photograph me walking down the street or having a coffee, I dont personally have an objection to it. The UK has one of the most densely distributed network of CCTV in the world, so if people arent doing it, big brother is! From a photographers point of view I dont intentionally make captures of people (except consenting models/people that I ask permission from ) or as a very small part of much larger scene as a minute detail to give the impression of scale, obviously that isnt 100% accurate, if shooting sport then the subjects arent aware of me, but generally accept that if they are engaging in sport that there is a likelihood that they will be photographed. I agree that these and some other cam phone images do have an element of charm to them, although they are generally very poor quality.
