Subject: Problem with "Duplicate with Symettry" Command

Why is my object not aligning with the opposite plain when I use the Duplicate with Symmetry Command. I have tried re alleging the joint and still it seems to think the axis is skewed. What am I missing?

The illustration shows the top 3/4 view of my models bone structure. As you can see. everything is symmetrical. The red lines represent the arm beginning at the shoulder joint. When I first placed the bones, if I used the duplicate with symmetry command I would get a perfect mirror image. Now I get a perfect mirror image but it seems now Carrara is using a different angle to mirror the bones. How can I control the axis that Carrara uses to mirror the item. The selected blue area is where Carrara is placing the arm, the red area represents where I expected the bones to be using the command. Dose this make sense now? English is my second language so please bare with me.

That explanation helped a lot. Wish I could use a second language as well.

I presume you are installing the bones using a 4 point view ( your bones are in the right place in all dimensions)?

I am having a difficulty also today--there is a tute --I will try and find it

Even after following that very good tute, you still may find the axis revolve-as attached screen shot-- to be of use I think.

Thanks for your help. Under closer inspection the bone that I was generating the arm from was not facing forward exactly. That was the reason why it looked turned.
