THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Perpective Problem? Help

I dabble with Bryce from time to time and I'm getting back into it at the moment.  I've got a really nice scene with some great buildings and towers but every time I go to render it the perspective bends all the towers in at the top.

I've tried to search the net for answers but I've drawn a blank.  What I want to do is to render the image but leave straight things like really narrow towers looking straight.  I've attached a quick render to show you what I mean.

Help.

hmm...what happens if you lower the camera closer to the ground, and point up slightly?

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

I think I know what you did wrong.
Go to the wireframe.
Click the + icon on the bottom right of the GUI. to bring your scene closer.
You might want to do this a couple of times.

Then use the arrows above the big render button to push your scene further away to give you your desired perspective.
Now render.
Things should be back to normal, but sometimes it's trial and error.

I think Bryster has quessed the correct problem.  If that isn't it, check the camera settings.  Click the tiny inverted triangle just above and right of the track ball. In the pop up menu select "edit camera".  See if scale value is something other that default 100%.  Changing that value will effect the scene.

Thanks guys.  I'll give that a try straight away.  I've had the problem before but this time I just had to find out how to solve it.

It works, thanks again.  Not only does it work but I understand why.

god someone understands Bryster, could mean trouble for us on earth.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.
