Subject: Problems with Poser 7

2 problems I seriously need answers to.

  1. How do I do a large sized render? Not just a small in-program one, but a large size one.

  2. I'm planning on getting a new computer soon. If I install Poser 7 on there, will it work?

  1. Define "Large"

  2. What spec is the new machine

Give us something to work with :)

I mean Large as in, I dunno, 700 x 700 for example.

And I don't mean as in specs. I mean involving registration issues. If i've already used the code, will it work again, that's what I'm asking.

1. How do I do a large sized render? Not just a small in-program one, but a large size one. Look atop your screen where it says 'Render.' 'Render size' is in the menu. Set the dimensions.

700x700 isnot that large, I render at around 2000 to 3000 -on the menus at the top  Click on Render - render dimentions (or size, can't remember which) then you can change the size and resolution

Edit: and if the finished image is to be printed a dpi 0f 300 or more

the code may work again, but there may be problems if connected to a network with another machine containing poser7, as well as problems trying to register copies of the app from other machines.

I've got Poser 7 installed on 2 machines - my scene creation workstation and my rendering workstation. The rendering workstation needs an installed Poser for Vue to work with.

I can import and render Poser scenes in Vue on the render station while working with Poser on the scene station. The machines are connected over the LAN.

Poser does not complain when I do this. It only complains when I fire up Poser on both workstations - as expected, since I only have one P7 license.

I work from the analogy "use it as a book" that e-frontier itself uses when explaining the terms of the license. Installing Poser on multiple machines is no problem licensewise, as long as only 1 copy is running at any time.

So Poser 7 will work when you install it on your new computer - as long as your old computer doesn't RUN Poser 7 at the same time. But there's no need to uninstall Poser from your old machine.

The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
