Ventilators take effect in STILL shots as well, for your information, people.... :)

Excuse the crudeness of the render - just a quick play - sample.
here I was just mucking around with some new stuff I'd bought on C3D, when I came up with this idea...
inset pic shows effect of ventilator on #2 image.
So, since it blows vegetation, you could use that to "blow" special effect vegetation, as dlk30341has shown.**
**Another trick discovered by moi, yum yum! ;)
I'd try stuff out with Wabe's firebug veg, but am working on complex scene at moment.

Don't forget that you can use negative numbers in the ventitilator power settings... Then they suck instead of blow.

LOL - When I tried the ventilators the rain didn't do a thing really(well to my eyes anyway) When I switched it to omni directional it blew the rain right off my monitor - I just couldn't find the "perfect" power/falloff setting to keep it visible on screen. So, based on my level patience I reverted to the wind

Idea hit me thunk! :p, when I was playing with Directional Ventilators in V6I and then thinking about Wabe's ingenious "Firebug" pack:
Couldn't you use a directional ventilator, placed at angles, to affect a "special effect" vegetation item?
for example, have a low, shallow angled directional ventilator affect a plant who's material is meant to simulate water spray
thus, you could simulate water spraying from wheels, boat wakes etc?
Hm? :)
