Hi all, is it possible to write and animate texts in Poser 7. If so how can I write something like '' HELLO WORLD!'

Thank you all.....

i think we can not model from scratch in poser. only import.  and combine props together.

but we can animate objects and move them around.

Depends on what kind of animation you want to do, but you can if you've got a mesh in the shape of text.

Wings 3D is a simple (and free) option for making text shapes, although they can be a right bear to UV map.

Do you want to just move the text around your scene, or do something more complex, like bending it in an arc?

Bending it in an arc and also creating an effect of engraving in a box

To do those kinds of effects, you need a modeling app for that. Cararra 7 will do nicely for sure, but some other 3D modeling apps might work as well?  (Hexagon. wings3d. should work as well)

Poser is limited to animating position/scale/rotation of the imported obj files.

If you want to animate it bending, I think your best option with Poser would be to rig a skeleton with bones coming from the middle of the text toward the edges, parallel to the baseline. You'd probably have to sub-divide the text a lot to keep it from crinkling. I don't think magnets would give you the control you'd be looking for.

If you just want it bent, I know Wings can do that. Then you could import it as a prop, move the hot point to where you want it, and rotate or  maneuver it.

Engraving in a model is difficult, because that would require subtracting one mesh from another, which is usually not good, except in the most expensive of modeling programs. A better choice for engraving would be to make a texture with the writing on it in the bump channel, or even displacement if you want it really deep. You'd have the option to create a 2D animation of your map (in some other, as yet unnamed program) and laying it down that way.
